    Default Transfer Deadline Day Thread

I thought it'd be good to have a centralised location for everything that goes on today. Lets hope it's a good day

Lots of names being bandied about: Nugent; Sako; Fryatt; Leadbitter; Gued (possibly to Crystal Palace.
Can't see anything yet about anyone wanting to take Miller!

I tend to agree... but would love to be proved wrong.

SSN: "KJ has told Wolves Player everything very quiet on deadline day. Not expecting to bring anyone in or, at this stage, anyone else leaving."

I only hope we can hang on to Adlene Guedioura.

Crystal Palace have asked Chelsea about taking Nathaniel Chalobah on loan.
The 18-year-old signed a new five-year contract at Stamford Bridge last week and may be loaned out to gain more experience.

And here's more activity from Humberside from Colin Young:

As he looks far and wide to strengthen his strikeforce, Hull boss Steve Bruce is pondering a move for Wolves’ Kevin Doyle.

Kenny Jacket, the Wolves boss, is reluctant to sell the Republic of Ireland striker, who has been left out of Giovanni Trapattoni’s squad for the last six months as he struggles for form.

Doyle, 30, is on £40,000-a-week and has made a positive start to the new campaign for Wolves.

If he misses out on Hugo Rodallega and Nicklas Bendtner, Bruce is ready to turn to Doyle as his next alternative.

Colin Young reports as Middlesbrough chase more firepower:
After missing out on Ross McCormack and Luciano Becchio, Middlesbrough are turning late attention to Hull City striker Matty Fryatt.
Tony Mowbray faces competition from Championship rivals Leicester City and Nottingham Forest for Fryatt who has been told he can leave the KC Stadium.
Boro went to £2million for Leeds striker McCormack but he has now signed an improved deal at Elland Road.
Becchio meanwhile, joined Norwich from Leeds last season, and he wants to fight for his place at Carrow Road after Gary Hooper and Ricky van Wolfswinkel joined this summer.

Why do SSN insist on having their reporters outside grounds with complete f**kwits in the background?

Does this mean that the Leadbitter deal is dead? I doubt that we'll land Bridcutt

Well anybody with an average IQ or above isn't going to loitering around a football ground on a Monday afternoon are they?

Stoke is always the worst. Usually at least one person with 2 heads, one with a nose on their forehead and one with no more than 4 teeth, often a woman.

    EARLY AFTERNOON RECAP
Here's a run through of the biggest stories so far this Deadline Day.
Arsenal are on the brink of splashing £40m for Real Madrid's Mesut Ozil after the German playmaker underwent a medical in Munich while on international duty.
We are awaiting official confirmation of this remarkable move, which would be Arsenal's first major signing of the summer.
The Gunners also maintain an interest in Chelsea striker Demba Ba, but they have only offered £1.5m so far - half the fee Chelsea want.
Manchester United are close to signing Athletic Bilbao's Ander Herrera and will meet the player's £30.5m buy-out clause.
The champions will also play a friendly in Spain as part of the deal to help finance the renovation of their stadium.
United's chances of acquiring Marouane Fellaini improved after Everton bought Fernando from Porto for £15m.
Liverpool have completed three deals today - Chelsea striker Victor Moses on a season-long loan, defender Mamadou Sakho from Paris Saint-Germain for £13m and defender Tiago Ilora from Sporting Lisbon for £7m.
On a busy day in Madrid, Gareth Bale, the most expensive player in the world at £86m, was unveiled to thousands of fans at the Bernabeu after passing a medical and signing his contract.
Kaka, meanwhile, has returned to AC Milan on a free.

How many we brought in today? Is there a Sky reporter down the CG waiting with a load of "fukwits"?
