    Default Wes Morgan

IN-form Forest defender Wes Morgan needs a hernia operation.
Reds manager Colin Calderwood today revealed that Morgan, who netted the vital first goal in the 2-0 win at Southampton on Saturday, is currently playing through the problem.
But it is only a matter of time before the big centre-half has to undergo surgery.
"Wes has a hernia that needs to be looked at. He needs an operation and we will look at the opportune moment to do that," said Calderwood.
"He will be out for two weeks or so, as long as there are no complications. If it goes well, he could be back sooner

Oh good Chambers is going centre back, we will see how that works out

I would sooner have Chambers at centre-half than Lynch any day.

If he's out longer than expected does that mean we'll hold on to Breckin ? When does Lynch's loan finish ?

Yes, because we have seen Lynch play that role so many times... Give him a go in his natural position and he may do wonders. He has attributes that Chambers simply does not, such as pace, and is clearly better aerially, so how you can write him off without giving him a chance to prove himself is beyond me.

Same can be said for Chambers though. He's been made the scapegoat as full back isn't his prefered position.

Lynch is no better than we've already got

    CC will play:

    Moloney - Wilson - Lynch - Bennett

Lynch is a naturist natural CB.

Chambers had a stint at playing centre back when he first joined the club in League One and was not good enough there. Lynch hasn't had the same opportunity. How can you say Lynch is no better than what we've already got when you haven't seen him play in his best position?

Put Breckin in defence and take him off the transfer list!

I can't see Perch being strong enough.

Is he? Lynch has lost out on an alarming number of back post headers in his short time at left back. Chambers, on the other hand, is pretty consistant in the air, wins a lot of headers in both boxes.

I have always said Chambers is a center back. I still doubt he is Championship quality even in this position but he is a hell of a lot more useful to the team playing there than at right back.

Preferably have Breckin in there but if CC is too stubborn to pick him then I think Chambers is up to holding the fort until January (when the logical thing would be to sign 2 defenders at least but who knows what we'll end up doing).

I would have thought the back four would be:
    Moloney-Wilson-Chambers-Bennett

I would say they're about the same on both counts.

You said Lynch has pace, which is what I was laughing at!
