    Default Transfer Deadline Countdown

The transfer window shuts a week from now - 23:00 BST on Monday, 2 September.

Last summer Lansbury and Sharp joined in the final few days of the window.

Who is coming in this time, if anyone?

With rumours that we had a bid rejected for Jordan Rhodes last week, and the game yesterday highlighting the lack up front, it seems we're still trying to sign a striker.
JP has said a few times on twitter that a midfielder is a priority.
The Sako rumours won't go away...
And why were BD and Ned at lcfc at the weekend?

I get the feeling I'm going to be getting some popcorn and eagerly watching all day on deadline day. One or two suprises me thinks. 4million in the pot (Austin money).

Still think we need a pacey right winger. Paterson is work in progress, albeit work that is progressing very nicely, and I doubt we will ever see McLaughlin, or whatever his name is.

I think McLaughlin scored for the under 21's today

You'd hope we'd have a top class striker (well for this level anyway) coming in, but knowing Billy we'll get 3 more midfielders.

Likely to be at least one six-pointer against them this season and they are easy enough to get to for a quick scouting.

Started as a striker. Scored a free kick.

I think we need a striker and a defensive midfielder, but I hope we hold onto Pep. If need be, I could live without the DM and go all guns blazing on getting an expensive striker that will guarantee us goals. That marquee signing.

Who is interested in Pep? (Not in a gay way).

Leadbitter would be a very handy and unsung hero type of player in my eyes. I think people are being very quick to rule him out.

    Final bid for Wes?

I can't see him being prepared to sit on the bench for us.

I just read this. Unless one of Wilson or Hobbs gets injured how would he figure? Waste of money and his career to come to seat warm.

Cannot longer see the point in signing Wes. Money would be better spent elsewhere on the pitch.

A striker is the only position I would look to bring in.

Who plays when Guedioura needs a rest or when Lansbury inevitably gets injured?

Moussi, Gillet? They need to be moved on and replaced with one quality midfielder...

Does anyone else hate the transfer window as much as me? I'll be glad when the fucking thing shuts and Sky Sports News can focus on something else other than rumour and conjecture. It was so much better when you could sign players at up until the end of March - or maybe that would be worse with the media frenzy you get these days.
