    Default Karl Darlow

Today confirmed it, he's absolutely the real deal. He's everything Camp was and more, and still only in his early 20s. He's going to get a lot of plaudits this season purely from being behind an amazing defence but he is a hugely promising talent on his own merits. The only thing he needs to work on properly is his work on crosses. Get that down and the rest will come with time.

Keep it up Karl, best young keeper i've seen at Forest since Barry Ro....Crossley.

He came for a couple of crosses today and got good punches on them. Watford didnt really throw many high balls into the box though so there wasn't any worry there. Shot stopping wise he's made 2 or 3 excellent saves today. Good form.

Agreed. I thought he looked very comfortable collecting crosses. They must've had ten corners and didn't have a sniff, although that was mainly down to Hobbs and Wilson.

    Darlow esta número uno!

I like how he always looks surprised and relieved every time he makes a good shot look tame with his management of it. If any of his team-mates needed an example of how you react to getting a new four-year contract, they need look no further.

I hope he never plays an international game, though... the press chipping away at his sanity and 'big team' players in his ear about warming their benches. Fuck that.

I don't get the criticism of him at crosses. Other than perhaps that one that he punched and perhaps might have caught (even then, he got a pretty strong fist to it in all fairness!) I thought that he looked very assured. He was superb from corners especially!

From what i've seen of him, he's absolutely fine with crosses, whether it be catching or punching. His positioning and shot stopping is ridiculously good, I honestly think it won't be long until he receives a phone call from Roy Hodgson.

Agreed with his handling, it was superb.

Ill admit I was a doubter and thought many of nffc fans overrated him because he's young English and one of our academy products but Leicester last game of the season and today he has been absolutely superb in.

He was better today because he was decisive, didn't hesitate when coming out like he has done previously

His handling is superb. Class at crosses. Great reactions.

    Getting better.

Sky will cotton onto his form soon enough, and the hype will start.

I thought he had one major moment of indecision, mid game somewhere, where he hesitated a bit on the 6 yard corner and in that moment the Watford player halved the gap between himself and the ball. His recovery once he realised what he was doing was spot-on though and the Watford player didn't get a sniff. His mistakes lead to immediate recoveries. I'm happy with that.

He was immense today and as for coming for crosses i think that is where he excelled. Big, strong, commanding and committed. A bit early for international call up but he looks the real deal.

Has come of age well before his time! I liked Camp and thought we'd made a mistake letting him go, but so far Darlow's proved me completely wrong. No way I expected this level of professionalism and focus at such an early stage in his career.

Well done Karl, proud of the you. If there weren't a media blackout I'd be celebrating his 4 year deal with us

Ishmael Miller? quite similar to Jay Bothroyd when he got his England call up

I have to say I have become more and more impressed. He was excellent today. Had no chance with the free kick but everything else was spot on. He will only get better. I hope he doesn't get an England call up for a few years yet. I want him to develop with us yet and help get us to the Prem and then keep us there for years to come.

The only thing he needs to prove now is he can come back to form from a) a massive goalkeeping mistake b) a hammering losing 3-4 0 of he can come back still full of confidence we have a massive talent on our hands, as all keepers will make huge mistakes and spend more time picking the ball out the net than doing anything else. Everything I've seen from Carlow so far has been excellent.

Karl has matured and developed into a fine young goalkeeper who holds even greater promise for the future. I can see him continuing to grow and improve in all areas and ride the wave with us all the way to the Premiership.

It's so encouraging to see a young player from our own Academy develop into a key asset for the club.

I think 'odd' is a good thing. Oddness shows originality, uniqueness and a desire to be different from the masses. Oddness is, maybe, only deemed 'odd' by the majority who are considered less odd but only by their own blinkered observations and understanding. Oddness should never be criticised but be encouraged to nurture, develop individualism and to explore the mind rather than conform to expectation and 'normality'. Many of the world's greatest works of art and prose were born from those minds many considered to be 'odd'.

I believe Darlow is also Wales-eligible. Might he be tempted to take the easier route to international football?
