There is mention of Craig Dawson as well. I don't think either would play ahead of our current two but it would push Collins further away from the first team.

What's this fascination with Craig Dawson? He isn't going anywhere

As I said in the unsub thread, I can't believe we're now at the point where we don't need any more defenders and when the offer of a quality one comes up, we can now say "no thanks, we're fine".

If you read the article link above it states Dawson at 23 isn't going to get a game in a hurry and needs game time after his successful loan at Bolton last season. Hence he may be available to loan.

Halford is now a striker, next CB in line is Collins, 'nuff said.

Collins is still dangerously close to playing. If one of Hobson goes down, I think Billy will look to Collins rather than Halford.

We need someone better than Collins(not so hard to find), but content to be bench warming while the current centre backs are fit and well(much harder to find).

Elliot Ward would have fitted that bill. I hope we let Collins go as he is a decent professional who deserves more games. If we could actually get Lascelles fit he might eventually be able to step up? I am yet to be convinced by him.

    Hobson - I like that.

Tamas is too good to be on the bench. But Hobson (thats getting used now) are too good to split up at the minute...

If only we'd given Jamal some more game time...

Could he be deployed has the holding midfielder we need?

Hobbs missed a big chunk of last season through serious injury and Kelivin Wilson's only ever one phone call away from shin splints....makes sense to get another top class centre-half on the books.

Suppose so. I doubt he'd wanna come and just sit on the bench though

Perhaps Jamaal would have got some game time if he wasn't made of wafer biscuits. He was injured preseason. Again.

Sad that we seem to be exploring every avenue to avoid playing Lascelles.

Please please please no! He was absolutely bloody awful in the Championship with West Brom! I can remember looking forward to seeing him play just to take the piss out of how bad he was and the amount of stupid mistakes he makes.. If I was Hobbs/Wilson/Collins/Lascelles/Halford I'd be insulted if I found out we were looking to bring in this guy in an attempt to improve the quality of our squad..

Isn't a striker more of a priority? There seems to be no rumours around about strikers!

as bad as finding out Halford, a defender, is starting ahead of you? (Derbyshire, Miller, Tudgay) (not sure is Tudgay was injured though)

Esp when Miller is a tall almost makeshift target player and Halford was used instead, heartbreaking!

Cohen ahead of Harding is possibly the worst as it is a permanent replacement!

    He is injured though

Cohen is a far, far better player than Harding. Do you dispute that?

No not at all, I doubt Harding would argue that. I know Cohen played LB at a younger age but spent a lot of his senior career at CM.

Must just be demoralising having a CM play LB ahead of you, though that's where you've played all your career. Not just he's playing ahead of him but he's also better
