Default Stag do on the same day as the Derby game :(

Has anyone else missed the Derby game whilst they've had a season ticket? I've paid for the stag do now so I'll just go I think, but I'm so gutted to miss it this season. It seems like I'm wasting a big chunk of my season ticket and reasoning for buying one

Yep. Don't worry it'll probably just be a run of the mill 5-0 drubbing.

Where you off on the stag?

Last year i had to run the half marathon then take a jog to the Forest Derby game! My missis did realise if our wedding (luckily its on the Bournemouth game) was on the same day as the Derby game we would of had to rearrange, she was the happiest person when the fixtures were released!

Can't think of a better way of starting a stag do. Get a group of you going its an early kick off (12:15) and still gives you loads of time to get slaughtered

What kind of madman gets married during the football season anyway?!

Turn "don't tell the bride" on BBC three on. Getting married/blessed at HT at a Stoke game. Retard.

This! Think of how much you'll be buzzing when we slaughter them 5-0 too.

Hipflasks are the way mate - top em up with Balvenie whiskey, make sure you've some on standby in your mates pockets for when yours is finished and away you go.

I missed a day of Tutts' 30th in Vegas for Derby away. Fat lot of good it was too, lost 1-0 to a Rob fucking Hulse goal

I got married on a Friday and missed a 2-0 win over Brentford (as far as I remember) through honeymoon duties - in my defence I had to get married in the football season for visa reasons and Brentford home didn't seem the worst one to miss!

I miss this too. Family holiday flying out from Birmingham airport at 2.30pm same day. First time I've ever booked a holiday before fixtures released..... It will be the last!
My Brothers happy though, free use of my season ticket

My friend arranged it through chillisauce so it has quad biking and other stuff on Saturday afternoon. I've emailed our organiser for a partial refund for the quad biking as I can't miss the game. It's in Manchester so there's no way we can all come to the game.

Here's hoping I can make it then join them in Manchester after.

Maybe I am not a real football fan for saying this, but those kinds of things make me cringe. Married at centre circle during a game. Absolutely cringeworthy.

I've missed 1 sheep game home and away in 20 years...and it was the bloody 5-2!

Still, on the plus side I did see England retain the Ashes in Melbourne that day, so every cloud and all that...!

I've managed to get out of the afternoon activities so I can make the sheep game. I'm going on the train to meet them in Manchester. I'll probably be more pissed than them anyway

    Good call.

Sorry but stag-do "activities" do my nut in. Go-carting, paint-balling, golfing etc. (Forest are obviously a different category altogether ) - sod that , I'd sooner get a slurp on. Last year we had 8 lads golfing for hours, spending whatever it costs on that, and then bailing out coz they were "skint" when it came to the strip club/whorehouse.

I turned down a cheapo holiday to spain because it fell on the derby game, there isn't much which would make me miss it!

Aside from the ridiculous over-hyping of local derby games, and the subsequent over-reaction from fans of both sides afterwards - they are generally shit matches, and to be honest from a purely footballing sense, they would be the better game to miss.

Naturally, I understand my first point in the sentence above is why people don't want to miss them though.

Scrappy game or not (you're right, invariably they are - aside from 3-0 in Harty's era and 5-2 more recently of course), there's no better feeling than when a Forest goal goes in against the Sheep.

They got that the wrong way round!
