Default Pre Match & Half Time entertainment

Taking my 4-year-old (with his older cousins in case he gets bored) to his first match tomorrow. Immensely proud moment.

Being an A-block boy I have no idea if there is anything that goes on before the game nor at half time to 'entertain' the crowd. Anyone know?

It's either that, or he can share Daddy's 'football experience' of leaving the Southbank at dead on 3 and having a few scoops with the lads underneath the A-Block at half time and missing the first five minutes of the second half.

Last season we used to have the garibaldi golden goal challenge (or some shit like that). Basically scoring in an empty net from so far out. This season we had someone from the olympics walking around and the announcer to keep us all jolly.

Personally i would like to see either what blackpool do (racing in those inflatable balls up and down the pitch) as that was so bad it was hilarious or something firdge based.

Pre game its mainly just the players warming up?

Sounds amazing! So pleased to hear that I'm not missing out on anything of interest...like monkey tennis.

Pre-match, I just wondered in the family area if the players went over signing autographs or if that crap mascot of ours dicks about for a bit to 'entertain' the kids. Really don't want to take him in too early if there's nowt going off.

Monkey tennis is a no-go. We are negotiating the hosting rights for inner city sumo instead.

The players do sign autographs, but you are best off wandering down to the tunnel after tge warm-up for that. The mascot waves a bit and is generally pointless. I've been bringing my half-brother to 5-10 games a season since he was about 5. The best pre-match entertainment for him was always a maccy D's. He's just turned 12, so prefers to stare at the barmaids in the Southbank for his warm up these days!

Good lad - get him started early!

„I believe in socialism because it seems more humanitarian, rather than every man for himself and 'I'm alright jack' and all those arsehole businessmen with all the loot. I made up my mind from viewing society from that angle. That's where I'm from and there's where I've made my decisions from. That's why I believe in socialism“

Not sure about the mascot being pointless, my 2 kids love him, and hes always busy with photos etc and hes always doing something not like other mascots who don't do anything, but everyone as their own opinion about most things and some will like robin and some wont.
