I don't understand when there is zero loyalty in football from the clubs that players should show any sort of loyalty back.

Just doing what you're paid to do (e.g. train & do what the manager says) would be a start.

The manager dumped him for a wet behind the ears kid who could only do half the job. You have no idea how that was dealt with behind the scenes. Watching us struggle under them circumstances cant have been easy when you'd been one half of the best midfield combo in the side.

    Swings & roundabouts.

In the interest of fairness Gueddys effort and commitment on the pitch can't be questioned

Stuart Imlach's son wrote a book about his father's life in football.

Seeing what they had to put up with, it's no surprise that the biter has been well and truly bit.

It looks like the smart money is going on Watson starting the season, possibly with Guedioura as cover if no offer comes in, and Yacob leaving.

I'd prefer a new signing in the holding playmaker role, but we need a right back and a striker more in my view.

Off to Qatar now (more money)

    DZ Foot

After a successful African Cup competition on all fronts, Adlène Guedioura should change clubs for next season.

The Algerian international is in contact with a club Qatari championship, the chain of Alkass said the Algerian midfielder has keys in Qatar with a club without giving the name of this team.

The 33-year-old is expected to change clubs despite statements by Sabri Lamouchi, his coach in Nottingham, who said today that he relies heavily on his player.

As a reminder Guedioura was in advanced negotiations with the club of El Kuweît but everything fell in the water because of the salary requested by the player.

    See ya later, pal.

Good deal to sell him now imo. Hopefully it's one that sees us get a 7 figure sum for him.

(there's one line in that article that I know some will jump on with glee to interpret in their own way).

Bar WBA it has been an inconsistent to poor return. Good to get some money in for a 34 year-old squad player. Just hope the new CM is all quality.

    Agreed.

Dreaming for the whole package from somewhere. Tall, rangey, mobile, calm on the ball and can play through the lines

Didn't he post some bollocks about being our loyal servant or something similar when he re-signed?

He was in football oblivion when we re-signed him, having been at Watford, Palace and Boro. Career was looking all but over.

He comes back and it's one of those heart over head signings but fair enough right? He's not great week in week out but he has a moment of magic in him.

Then he's the ring leader to get MON sacked and don't get me wrong, MON getting sacked was a good decision but that puts me on the fence about the sort of influence he is around the club.

Then he has a great AFCON and as soon as the offers come in for him, he's asking to leave with a week of the pre-season to go?

He's shown his true colours, Pep my arse.

Inconsistent, average midfielder in to the declining years of his career asks to leave (again)? I don't see the problem here...

Especially if we get a nice 7 figure fee out of it.

I cant believe Guedioura is after a transfer he's a one club man!

Take the money and run, if we get 500k for him let him go.

Much as I like him, the lad has had more clubs than Tiger Woods, and he’s managed to make a nice little earner for himself with his career moves.

„I believe in socialism because it seems more humanitarian, rather than every man for himself and 'I'm alright jack' and all those arsehole businessmen with all the loot. I made up my mind from viewing society from that angle. That's where I'm from and there's where I've made my decisions from. That's why I believe in socialism“
