The Post claims that it was us who initially "offered an olive branch" to the Saddies, which prompted this response on SadpieMad......If giving us a helping hand was the loan of Virgil Gomis, I'd rather go back to sticking two fingers up at them.

Another poster on there claims that we're trying to curry favour with them before requesting to share their ground next season during the Taylor Stand rebuild.

I may be wrong, but would not the City Ground with only three stands have more capacity than their tinpot Ground?

Meadow Lane has a published capacity of 18,816.
City Ground has a published capacity of 30,445 - whilst I can't find an official source - I believe the number of seats in the Main Stand is circa 2,000.

So, even allowing for potential temporary reallocation of seats being taken out of service to accommodate cameras, segregation, commentary, hospitality etc. You'd still be correct - by quite a bit.

    I'd have said it's closer to 5,500.

I think the main stand is closer to 5k so even then our stadium is bigger.

I should really check before I post - that '2' was meant to be a '5', you're quite correct. 2,000 would be ridiculous!

So the consensus is, even with only three Stands, the WFCG is still bigger than non-League Ground, Meadow Lane?

Then I’m sure as long as temporary changing facilities can be provided, Forest won’t need to lower themselves to play there.

I think that last time we used their ground we lost all our matches, so it's a "No" from me.

Perhaps my facts are all askew, so I apologise in advance for posting bullshit.

But aren’t we going to have two stands (PT & Bridgford) out of action...?

What are they expecting? They think a fifth tier side should be able to get Ryan Yates off us when he's on the verge of our first team?

We're gonna sell 20k season cards aren't we? So that's more than could get into County before you even factor in away fans.

I'm sure I read it somewhere, so it's not an assumption, but far from a fact!

The club said it would be done in stages. I'd imagine they could actually get the Bridgford work done during the close season allowing it to be open for the season.

What are they doing to bridgford stand? Adding an upper tier all the way along?

Currently 1-0 down at home to Chorley.

I don’t think they’ll be earning their title of Oldest Football League Club back any time soon.
