    Default Hobbs or Wes

We were in for Wes but have ended up with Hobbs. I don't think Wes is coming now, we are more likely to get Wilson. Do we see it as a problem that we haven't ended up with Wes? I don't. I think at 24 he is the better player. An absolute beast. Better and stronger in the air, decent on the ground and probably less likely to make a howler. Well done Billy I think we have got ourselves a player of real quality.

The only thing wes has on hobbs is hes played more times for us than hobbs take away that fact and hobbs wins hands down.

We have got Hobbs and weren't getting Morgan. What's the point in this?

Morgan was no better than Elliott Ward, just happened to have been born and bred in Nottingham. Made him a fans favourite and the added "passion".

Hobbs is fantastic in the air, on the floor and made some quality tackles. Covered up for Collins a few times also.

He did what I love to see a centre back do and that was constant talking to the back four, they looked organised and that was a key part.

It's a forum for Forest banter. Admittedly a bit of fluff but it is Sunday evening and I am bored.

I want to see more of Hobbs before I make my judgement on him but he barely put a foot wrong yesterday.

Bit early to judge on Hobbs but the signs are good. Both are beasts.

Heart says Wes because of the service he's given the club. But head says Hobbs. Looks a solid pro.

OOoops I've just voted Wes when I meant to have voted for Hobbs. Sorry.

Still early days yet but I wanted to vote Hobbs because I've certainly been impressed with what I've seen so far.

I think 'odd' is a good thing. Oddness shows originality, uniqueness and a desire to be different from the masses. Oddness is, maybe, only deemed 'odd' by the majority who are considered less odd but only by their own blinkered observations and understanding. Oddness should never be criticised but be encouraged to nurture, develop individualism and to explore the mind rather than conform to expectation and 'normality'. Many of the world's greatest works of art and prose were born from those minds many considered to be 'odd'.

He came here with a good reputation, and it's clear that he's the business. Get excited, you know you want to

It may sound controversial but I thought Lichaj was more impressive yesterday

It's of course fortified by reputation and what Leicester and Hull fans have said aswell as preseason and first competitive game for us. We are building a quality team with Hobbs a key element. It's not "bumming" him as you put it. Even Kev is impressed.

Hobbs and Wes are probably just as good as each other, but we would have to pay £2 million + to get Wes, and we've ultimately got Hobbs on a free. So I'm glad we didn't end up paying silly money for Wes and got Hobbs, a player of very similar quality, without paying a thing.

Hobbs reminds me of when John terry played for us.

Lets not get carried away, he's only played one game for us against let's face it weak championship opposition, I'd like to see how he gets in the next 12 games until saying how good he is.

No need. I saw him play for Hull last season and previously for Leicester.
    He's better than Wes.

Ok I'll take your word for it. Lets just say I'm a pessimist that simply refuses to be believe we could have signed such a good player on the cheap, that doesn't happen to us.

He does have a Collins handicap to work with for us though.

We didn't sign him on the cheap though. Why do you think that?
