Looked solid today, as if he is really starting to take on the left back role and all that is required. Still leaves a little too much space for my liking, but I think he will get better as the year goes on.

I do like seeing a full back getting that far forward

At times in the second half, he was the furthest man forward. More of a wing back than a defensive full back but what an attacking threat to have.

Solid, dependable and rarely makes mistakes.

Just what you want from a Captain.

I think he'll continue to grow into the LB role. That extra bit of time on the ball allows him to drag it past players and provide real support going forward, his determination and drive make him difficult to play against too.

Going forward he was great. Defensively not really tested, but the little he had to do he fine. Didn't put a foot wrong. Re being captain; As annoying as it is to see I think he needs to get into the face of the referee more. (Which is hard from LB) Think the referee was a bit harsh on us, they should have had a few more yellows, and could have had a red. Could have had a penatly, and Gued should have got a freekick on the edge of the area.

The bizarre thing about Cohen is that when he was played as a left midfielder, he was far less of an attacking threat than he seems to be as a left back. He has certainly improved since he came to us. I loved his comment that he didn't have the skill of a lot of other players, so he has to make up for it somehow. An example to any young player coming through the ranks.

To be fair, the ref was all round soft to both teams. Cox booted one of their players in the arse and was no where near the ball and yet did not get a yellow, which he certainly should have.

238 appearances so far. Hope he is able to reach 500 with us, which at 26 is a realistic target as long as he sticks to his word and spends the rest of his career with us.

If he does, I shall be first in the queue for tickets for his testimonial!

1 game guys, calm down, I like Cohen, but lets judge his LB capabilities after a whole season, he's been moved around to fill gaps loads in his career so lets give him a chance to settle into it for a whole season before words like "Legend" get used.

He's never really let us down though. Certainly a cult hero if not a legend.

A legend to me is someone who dedicates and pledges their love and career to their club. Obviously they need to work hard, but Cohen's already a legend for me.

    Legend is over used nowadays.

Reminds me of Ian Bowyer, can play all over the shop and will possibly make 500 plus appearances.

Is Bowyer a legend? Quite possibly but then in addition to the commitment, he did win a few things as well!

He has been granted the very honoured privilege of having his name on my shirt this season, that only happens to legends....make of that what you will.

Ian Bowyer is most certainly a legend. A player who makes over 500 appearances for the club, and as you say, won a few things, pretty much fits into the "Forest legend" category.

Mr Clough would disagree with getting into the refs face (we don't play dirty, we don't argue with refs etc).

I made an estimated top 100 Forest players list last year and I didn't put Cohen in, but it was based on playing quality and not so much about devotion to the Club etc. I'm hoping I can put Paterson into the top 25, Abdoun into the top 50, Hobbs into the top 75 and Cohen himself and/or Lansbury into the top 100 if not by the end of this season then by 2016 after some PL football! Also the new striker into the top 50 with any luck. Guedioura, Raddy and Reid were all already in the list, in the bottom half though. Anyway, I don't think Cohen is one of our 'best' players ever but still he can be a legend in his own way - was Chettle a legend for example?

Steve Chettle? Certainly, form his commitment and length of service if nothing else.

Many - me included - would consider Stanley Victor Collymore a Forest "legend" and he only played 50 times for us.

Yeah, Cohen would be in the Chettle category more than the Collymore one.
Hard to say what a legend is and how many we have though really - I called Franz Carr a legend on one thread and got pulled up on it and changed it to cult-hero. To this fan though he was surely a hero - "4-0, cos Franz Carr isn't playing - if Franz Carr was playing it'd be 9-0

Glad I looked for that btw, as someone has uploaded the full game so we can watch it again without finding a VHS player!

The one-two surge-into-the-box lead up to the goal was Psychoesque.
