Default Lewis McGugan could be back against Southampton

Some good news, McGugan could be back for the clash against Southampton, if he doesn't make it he should definitely be back for the next game.

Calderwood also revealed influential midfielder Lewis McGugan could have a chance of facing Southampton at the critical relegation clash on Saturday – and will definitely return for the Christmas period fixtures against Doncaster and Norwich.
"A scan has revealed the scar tissue in Lewis's thigh has flared up, but it is not too serious," he said.
"The time between now and Saturday's game is useful, because it gives him a chance of being involved.
"If we get him through some rehab he will certainly be back for the Christmas period, when we have Doncaster and Norwich in quick succession. We will need him for that."
Sorry didn't copy the link to the site address as still getting used to the forum set-up.

It will be nice for him to have a City Ground farewell before he signs for Cardiff in January...

The Cardiff stuff is bollocks. I am actually a personal friend of Lewis McGugan and know that he's always preferred Swansea - being inspired by the swans floating down the Trent.

McGugan to Swansea. Will be announced at 1.45pm on Saturday January 17, 2009 by Mark Arthur, who will be wearing a red tie and have had two eggs for breakfast.

If McGugan is tempted to leave us, then the destination of choice will be Sunderland, to play alongside his one time friend and old mentor Andy Reid. Fee will be £800k. This, of course, will be dependent on who becomes manager there.

Everyone knows Jesus is Jonathan Greening.

This would be good, bring a little bit of creativity and attackingness to the midfield.

Maybe Colin will play Cohen left wing, who knows?

    McGugan/Moussi = McClane/Samuel L Jackson.

Didn't CC say 'for the year' as in at least until the new year.

I'd imagine he'll be back in training mid January and will probably play at some point in early Feb.

    Derby home?

My dad saw him run across the car park to the cash machine outside the club shop this morning.

    I guess that's a positive sign...

TBH i know its early but what i have seen from Moussi is that i don't really rate him.At 6ft 2 built like a brick shit house he doesn't really boss the game passing isn't that good and gets beaten to the ball a lot.Hope this injury has made him realise how to use a football.

    Lewis is ruled out sadly

    See official site

Will be a big miss - looking a bit lightweight in midfield now.
