    Default Where is Simon Gillett?

Just thought, haven't seen him for a while! Can't remember he even been on the bench.

Not that he'd get in at the minute but is he injured or just out of favour?

Dare say Billy is going with what he knows whilst he asses the players who haven't played in a while or he knows less about.

He's suddenly become disliked by a lot of Forest fans for some reason. He was top class in the first quarter of the season.

Maybe it's the mistake at Pride Park that people haven't forgiven him for, but I still rate him personally.

Compare him to our current midfield 4 and even midfielders on the bench and it's obvious to me why he's not included. League One player at best.

I thought he might be a Davies kind of player, but Guedioura does his defensive midfield duties very well, so how does he get in the team?

He was one of the best players we had at the start of the season, form tailed off a little and cant see him getting in the side now unless injury's dictate.

Never rated him, even when he was rated as our best player by many on here at the start of the season. The team is better without him and Billy can see that.

Overrated. I'm glad Billy Davies has got rid of the defensive holding man. There's a reason Doncaster weren't sad to see him leave.

No doubt he'll end up at Bristol City next season with SOD along with the rest of the Forest B-team.

Billy bloody loves Greening, who is a cracking player when utilised in the right way.

Nothing wrong with Greening, he's a decent experienced player to bring in from the bench to shore things up. He might be a bit bland in his playing style, but by all accounts his personality is far from bland. The type of guy you'd want to play with and learn a few things from.

    He's on earth somewhere.

Seriously though, he's just down the pecking order. Can see us letting him go in the summer.

Good solid player, will be reliable if we need to call upon him and if he's happy being a bit part player, he's good to have in the squad.

I suspect he may well join SO'D at Bristol City in the summer though.

Probably be more utilised in a five man midfield away from home when Billy starts with that.

Him and Guedioura holding, Reid, Majewski and Lansbury ahead, one up top.

Strange because he was way ahead of Greening and moousi, now he's behind them both. He was alot of people's choice for Player of the season in the first third of the season.

I agree though, he is not on the same level in this type of team as Guediora. under SOD the pace was much slower and he was the perfect player to play that holding role in a very controlled game.

Billy likes his players to bomb on and everything is 100mph which doesn't suit his game. Agree, he'l end up at Brizzle.

Billy's hinted that he likes Greening so he might end up getting the best out of him. It would be good to see what a good Greening is like as he has the the pedigree and he earns a fooookin fortune so be nice to get a return.

It's simple - NOT GOOD ENOUGH.

He's SOD lovechild , put in the middle of the field while a far superior player Guedioura was pushed to the right. It's no wonder that Geddy looked out of sorts and was poor at the beginning when the manager who had seen him dominate last season in the middle , yet choose to put his pet player in the middle.

Overrated by a lot of fans in the beginning but eventually , even SOD dropped him. AMc also started him at the beginning because of Geddy leaving for ACON but by the end of the month , Gillet once again got dropped. Billy take over and he hasn't has a look-in since.
The 2nd coming of McKenna he most certainly is not.

Football is about opinions, but that opinion is just wrong!

League one at best? So Simon Gillett, playing to his full potential is only good enough for 3rd tier English football? He wasn't as good as some made out earlier this season, but he was more than good enough for this level.

Robbie mentions Geddy and Gillet in a 5 man, I can see Geddy and Moussi myself. If we remember back to end of last season Cotts started playing them 2 with Raddy just infront and it worked wonderfully at times.

    Where is Simon Gillett?

Well..he's quite small. Have you looked behind the fridge, or down the back of the sofa? He could easily be hidden there.

By "relegation battle", do you mean 7th, 12th or 14th?
