Been thinking today. I have earlier memories but none I can pinpoint. This is my clearest early memory. When I was 8, in the middle of the night 50 years go today my dad woke me up and said "Get up, something important is going to happen, I think you should see it." We went downstairs where everyone was watching tv and watched Neil Armstrong walk on the moon. My dad died yesterday, I think I'll always remember him when I see the moon now.

Sorry to hear that roo, Hope you and your family are all ok.
You have a luxury of having a good dad and great memories, Sadly my effort is still alive and I won't have any good memories of him as he has been a total failure from start to finish.

I don't know why but I was expecting you're earliest memory to be axe related.
Deepest sympathy to you and yours pal.

Always difficult losing someone close, parents especially. So many memories and sometimes even good ones!

    Sorry to hear that, Buckaroo.

Went through the same earlier in the year. Memories, and therefore they live on in you.

Take time, spend it with your love ones and remember him together if you can, it helps.

Sorry to hear of your loss Buckaroo.

As you say, you will always be able to remember your dad when you look at the moon.

    Sounds like a Morrissey lyric

The next line in the song should be "talk"

Thanks for posting that. I'm not feeling too great myself and just a few words from a fellow tricky do mean a lot. You seem like a cool guy to me.

There’s plenty of fine looking Fräuleins, if you fancy popping down Edward?

Must be the warm weather that brings them out, and frankly, I’ve got enough action to wear-down a squad of HM Royal Marines?
