...commenced drinking for Mrs. Congo’s birthday celebration. The board at the Junkyard looks lethal. 12% imperial gingerbread milk stout? Yes please.

Apparently I’m not allowed to talk about football, politics or work during this day of drinking. That doesn’t leave me much.

Are you taking her to all of your favourite pubs?

I’ve actually given her free reign over where we go. She took us to the Head of Steam first and we discovered it’s closed on Mondays. This is what happens when you leave women in charge.

I can’t see how this could occur. Looking at the number of moves, the Soviets went first and DIDN’T pick centre square?!

Adolf obviously knew better and went for the middle square, after which ol Joe must’ve picked the corner closest to his first move (he wouldn’t pick the diagonal because Hitler’s already blocked it with the centre square).

So Stalin has lined up a straight line win and Adolf goes for top left?! Where Stalin has already blocked off the diagonal win?! Crazy. He’s also choosing to ignore the obvious blocking move to prevent a crushing loss to the Ruskies (again).

Then, instead of taking the win, Stalin toys with Hitler, setting up straight line wins on either side? Makes no sense.

I may be reading too much into this.

Let’s take a look at the linesman’s view of things while I spit phlegm at a six year old from a moving car, somehow escaping the sack in the process.

Jesus Christ, she’s taken me to the Alchemist. My cocktail involved having a car battery connected to it to make it foam. I think she’s trying to kill me. Send help.

Sounds like Das Schuzimmer in Beeston - went there with a couple of mates, walked up to the bar, was asked to sit down so someone could take our order. 5 minutes later, no order had been taken so we cut our losses and went over the road to the Chequers.

There’s really a pub called The Shot Room?

And I thought the Bierkeller was cheesy.

Whoops, my misspelling! Das Schuhzimmer is the correct name!
