I’d have thought the puzzle section of the Wandsworth Times would have been a questionnaire on the best places to buy flannel shirts, trilby hats, and an investigation on the best beard-wax?

„I believe in socialism because it seems more humanitarian, rather than every man for himself and 'I'm alright jack' and all those arsehole businessmen with all the loot. I made up my mind from viewing society from that angle. That's where I'm from and there's where I've made my decisions from. That's why I believe in socialism“

The puzzle section is the only page that doesn't feature those things

You should see Saturday’s Nottingham Post, it’s full of puzzles. No I don’t mean the back page stories about Forest!

Just breathed a massive sigh of relief. Nipped out of work on Friday lunchtime to go home to sign for my Silverstone tickets. Only just got home in time to meet the delivery driver but that's another story!
Last thing I remember for leaving work was putting them back in the envelope then putting them in my bag...
6pm Friday night I thought, I'd better take them out of my bag and put them somewhere safe. You've guessed it they weren't there, nor had they fallen out in the back of my car. I checked both places about a dozen times!

Anyway, just got into work and they're on my table in my office.

    No chance.

There's not a hope in hell he'd leave his collection at risk like that.

Just seen what is happening at Notre Dame. One of the most beautiful building in the world inside, it is awe inspiring. I have spent many contemplative, reflective hours inside and it saddens me to see it destroyed.

Apparantly my electrician was working on a contract there...
Seriously, what a great, great shame.
    It is a beautiful building.
Mind you there will be an EU fund to help rebuild it.
Or maybe, like if it was in London, the Paris Mayor will approve a planning application to replace it with a block of utilitarian flats for asylum seekers.

It’s terrible. When I lived in La Tour-Mauborg, walking up to the cathedral was a wonderful way to pass the time.

Yes, and only a hope and a skip to the Marais.

Got my results back from the Well Man Clinic today...
Everything fine except for slightly raised blood pressure and cholesterol.
Having said that, my blood pressure is lower than it was three years ago. So I must be doing something right!

The view of the rear of the cathedral from the Seine is one of the most beautiful on the planet.

Reconstruction is going to take many many years.

A friend who, unbelievably, is more cynical than me commented simply "what a good way to distract from the growing civil unrest in the country and give the people a focal point to unify behind."

By "relegation battle", do you mean 7th, 12th or 14th?

I am not surprised the person commented simply, it's a simple thing to say.
