Thread: Kris Boyd

  1. #1

    Default Kris Boyd

I don't know if I just had a beer induced hallucination or a premonition, but it suddenly came into my head that AM sees KB as an ideal striker for us and is going to sign him in a part-ex deal with Robbie Findlay.

I am not in the know.

    At all.

I liked Boyd when he was here a few seasons ago. Not sure he would have the same impact now though..

I thought he was quite good too, and had an impressive goal scoring record in Scotland, which I think some of it was under AM?

He's now in the MLS & Findlay wants to go back to the States, probably more so now his dads ill.

1+1 = whatever you want it to be.

Liked him. Should have stated that playoff game. Have a feeling he wouldn't be as good now.

He's got nowt to his game except for goals. But he does score enough too warrant this. Could be a decent signing if he goes on a run like he did here before.

His wages would be a disgrace, and he isn't exactly destroying the MLS, we need to move forward not backwards.

Never loses a header. Not like our Dex, jumping before the ball's even been kicked.

Boyd was great for us when we had him on loan and I'd love to get him back.

To be fair he is playing in a team who only won 8 out of 34 games last season (I'd say he only went there to escape what was happening in Turkish football at the time), he played in 26 of those games, started 22 of them. He scored 7 goals as the team's leading scorer. I'd say he is 10x better than Mr Findlay, not a world beater, but a much better player than Findlay.

Wasn't fit when he came to us before but as he got fitter, he naturally, got much better. Sorry in the end to see him go.

He was a good fit at the time. Felt like a Forest player. How old is he now though?

I remember that free kick he scored (I think against Scunny) Earnshaw scored it but got a second yellow for taking it early, so Boyd took it and he scored it too.

He shown he was more then just a goal scorer. But he had something to prove when he was here. Think he's only in the MLS because of the money.

He just smashed it down the middle. Not a pretty goal but it summed him up quite well

Only 29 - great. Potential 30 goals a season partnership there (10 for Boyd and 20 for Sharp)

I'd do the deal....get rid of Findlay is an added bonus and get in Boyd who can score goals to me is a win win situation
