Those players you list, and those with clear potential, like Jade Bellingham, make me so enthusiastic for Euro 2024 in Germany.

England have a fantastic base for pushing on, talent wise.

A cat doing a turd in the centre circle would eclipse the "golden generation".

Such a detestable group of players who let the country down at every possible opportunity.

Manchester United look like they could be contenders next season.

If they had a dominant centre half like Virgil Van Dijk, they could push Liverpool and City closer. Maguire just hasn't impressed since he arrived. Maybe next season will be his.

Not sure about Luke Shaw at left-back either. Quite sloppy and positionally naive at times.

It's even more worse when you consider they all hated each other and couldn't put their egos aside. There was apparently a Chelsea Clique, United Clique etc

    Bunch of Knobs.

I like Gomez at Liverpool, he'll have to keep going well once he steps out from under Van Dijk's wing though. As for deep lying mids, Leeds supporters would have you believe the second coming of Pirlo currently plays at Elland Road.

There will always be decent centre-halves.

Southgate should’ve been more concerned with captying McTominay than Rice in my opinion.

Our old friend Jason Lee has had a say on coaching opportunities for ethnic minorities, and suffice to say, it’s a damning verdict:

Watched Manure n BORRRRNMUFFFF yday and I don't watch much of the 'all about money league' was shocked to see how much time and space BOTH teams are given.

I just imagined what our present team would do against any of them. We'd do ok I think,a lack of quality isn't necessary now imo, as long as the team is organised and hardworking (Sheff U).

    Soooo media overhyped that league.

I am a firm believer that if you took away the two Manchester clubs, the scousers, Chelsea, Tottenham and the Arsenal, you could happily exchange the rest of the clubs in the top flight with the equivalents from the Championship, and there wouldn’t be much of a drop in quality, given the financial incentives for simply turning up?

We were always warned it would turn into a mini-league at the top, with everyone else just trying to avoid relegation. Well, it has, I guess.

Typical hyping of a PL player, he’s not a ludicrous talent he’s a promising youngster

Eclipsing the tossers of 2006 wouldn’t take much

Really like Bukayo Saka at Arsenal as well. Such a direct and powerful runner with a dream left-foot.

Little triangle there between Robinson, Osborn and McGoldrick. Who'd have thought that would be happening in the Prem?!

Robinson doing what he does best and passing it to the opposition and they should have scored.

Just shows that the gulf in class between the top end championship & most of the PL isn’t as big as folk make out

Let’s get promoted because there’s fuck all to be frightened of

They have Sharp and Freeman on the bench too, Forest rejects.

Newcastle have Darlow (who hardly ever plays) and Lascelles (who is good), West Ham obviously still have Antonio (who will be able to unlock any defence) but actually a lot of our bigger sales have failed to achieve anything at all.

Brereton and Assombalonga are below us, Burke is wherever not getting a look in on loan, Lansbury occasionally gets on Villa's bench, Appiah is still young, that's pretty much all of our bigger recent sales isn't it? Rather understated how well we've done there.

    Burke played for Alaves yesterday.

He’s made 27 appearances for them this season, scoring once.

How many have been off the bench? Also one goal is a pretty poor return for an attacker.

He’s made ten starts, the rest were off the bench. He’s got one assist too.

Alaves‘ gameplan though isn’t all-out attack, it’s more „try not to lose please lads“.

    I can't believe I'm saying this...

I want the Geordies to beat West Ham.
