Wanting Liverpool to do anything other than implode is wrong. Bad and wrong. Have a word with yourself!

Probably accepted that before the season started. Absolute shoe in for 20th for me.

Peter Reid, Curbishley, Dyche all kept their jobs, won promotion again and established themselves at the second attempt. Thing is, Warnock would just get relegated twice.

Manchester City fan Vera Cohen, 102, and sister Olga Halon, 98, are team's mascots.
They have been season ticket holders since 1930.

Nice gesture from the club in this era of "bugger the loyal and local fans".

    Well done, City !

By "relegation battle", do you mean 7th, 12th or 14th?

I personally think from a supporters point of view that is great.

Spend most of their life supporting a team that has been relatively crap and in the shadow of their rivals, and finish things off (I don't mean that to be rude!) with the team they have stuck by all their lives becoming the best team in the country by a long way and Utd miles behind them.

You often complain here about the gap between the big six and the rest of the Premier teams. We had a spectacular demonstration last night.

We've played Burnley and Betis in the Europa League. Burnley were sixth last year in the Premier, Betis were also sixth in La Liga. The difference between the two was staggering. We eliminated Burnley, who played poorly in both matches, relying only on strength, running around and being very organised. Betis was a whole different category of football. They had a ridiculous percentage in their passing (something like 92%), it was impossible to steal the ball from them, they were very technical, and very fast. It was impossible for us to play our usual possession game. The only reason we managed to escape with a 0-0 draw was that we defended very well (especially when we played with ten men) and the fact that they were not very good inside the penalty area (the highlights are slightly misleading because we had more real chances than them and we could have easily stolen the match, but it would have been just that: stealing).

PAOK played with Chelsea for the Champions League. PAOK is a good team, and last year they were better than us. The match was simply ridiculous. Chelsea may have won only 1-0, but they could have easily scored 5 or 6 if Morata did not insist on sending the ball to the stands from perfect scoring positions. Chelsea had a riduculous possession percentage, which must have exceeded 80% at times, and they stormed PAOK's penalty area whenever they wanted. And they did all that clearly playing in a disinterested way, not displaying particular effort, and clearly bored with what they were doing.

I honestly find it difficult to understand how Chelsea and Burnley play at the same division. And football authorities should really do something about that. Yes, from time to time a Cinderella like Leicester, but if the gap continues to widen, soon the Premier will lose all its interest.

Good points, although Burnley and their donkey football aren’t at all representative of ‘the rest’ in the EPL. And although there is more of an emphasis on technical football in La Liga you would see a similar gulf in quality between Real/Barca and the rest.

It lost my interest many years ago (aided by Forest’s absence). Unfortunately, some folk are weak minded and happily accept when being told by Sky that they are watching the best, most entertaining league in the world- when they’re being fed a turd sandwich

If you ever went to Burnley you'd find it difficult to believe it is in the 21st century let alone have it's football team in the same league as Chelsea.

Burnley will not finish 7th this year, nor were they that fussed about playing in the europa league.

Burnley finishing 7th was probably their Leicester moment, they punched well above their weight.

That pub that is now called the 'Dyche's Head' in honour of Burnley's European qualification cares very much.
