Just when you think there is no finer name (if slightly effeminate) than Roderick Miranda, it turns out he played alongside a lad called Nadjack.

That's about £59m Profit? Maybe they can pay back some of the local business they ripped of on their 2 trips through Admin with no punishment?

You think Chelsea will go down next season

Odd time to sack a manager, will there be a player exodus now?

Abramovich wouldn't accept Conte's excuses for Chelsea not being in Sunday's World Cup Final.

Don’t worry mate, I’m sure if France win, John Terry will be on the field in full France kit (including shinpads) to celebrate with N‘Golo Kanté

Not sure Conte was that popular to be fair.

Certainly not with their talisman, Eden Hazard.

With good reason, the bloke is a monumentus prick. Showed no concept of others last season, spent the entire season moaning to try and get sacked so he could have his £8m payoff instead of resigning. It rubbed off on his players who spent several games not giving a shit, and Conte probably wasn't bothered at all.

I can't believe he's so well thought of by Chelsea fans.

    3 years?

    So..20 games, then.

By "relegation battle", do you mean 7th, 12th or 14th?

Winning the league has that effect.

I agree though. He had a great season then wanted to move on, but Abramovic is a stubborn bugger and refused to sack him, so a ridiculous stand off ensued. Why would anyone expect the players to give a shit when their manager didn’t.

Just shows what power the players have these days if they decide they want the manager out. Which is why you need a strong club captain, as opposed to just a playing captain, to be a bridge between the dressing room and the manager.

No manager seems popular with Eden Hazard. The next one might stand half a chance with that sulky get gone. A stronger manager might have got rid of him when he walked through the door.

Was listening to an interview of John Barnes by Colin Murray (Colin Murray At Home, interviews loads of sporting icons including Psycho https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b08...odes/downloads)

Barnes was saying one of the big problems that Bosman bought along was a disruption to the 'respect model'. When he was a young player, you daren't even speak to senior players, who could bollock you for your misdemeanors, let alone question a manager. Bosman inflated the value of younger players, giving them longer and more lucrative contracts so that by the time he was a senior player, there was a fear of younger players and they could be chastised by anywayone because they were now valuable assets that needed treating with kids gloves.

It was a good interview that, I enjoyed it.

And with Barnes, you also get about three hours worth of words in the space of an hour.
