Chelsea's longest serving player has left the club having signed as a 17 year old in 2009.

Goalkeeper Matej Delac from Croatia played 150 times for a plethora of teams in the subsequent 9 seasons, yet never once represented Chelsea competitively.

I'm sure the lad has learnt a lot in that time, but you have to wonder whether he would have fared better than joining a club who hoover up all the talent, yet give nobody a chance.

Luckily, as a goalie he has time on his side but that almost a decade down the pan. I wonder if the money made up for it?

Farcical. Twenty years of Richard Scudamore's best work made this possible.

This highlights how the game is unrecognisable now.

Footballers see the game as a sole trader business, an incredibly wealthy one with no risks attached. Getting on the pitch is the very last thing on their minds.

What a world we exist in

Suddenly, out the blue the news breaks that they'll be getting Burnley versus Watford legally on Easter Monday. And no sooner will have that have finished than they'll be getting Huddersfield versus Leicester City.

Oh, yay. Pissing around more with the F.A. Cup thanks to this.

The thought crossed my mind today whilst doing laundry that the demise of the FA Cup possibly started with Forest and Spurs in 1991. I think Palace v Man Utd the year before was the final year in which players recorded Cup Finals songs.

    You could be right.

Working off memory Sunderland never really took it to Liverpool the year after, two not bad finals with the last ever final replay the year after... then Man United started to dominate the English game properly and it went a bit shit as they blew away Chelsea.

Everton was good to see but a shit game then the cup turned to predictable and teams started fielding weakened teams and by the end of the decade the FA allowed the best team in Europe not to enter, so we could host a world cup that turned out to be one of the worst in living memory, the twats.

Finals in 80s + 1990 were nearly all classics. We were spoilt.

Since then...Liverpool v West Ham, Arsenal v Hull....Wigan v Man City (for the upset rather)...perhaps...Liverpool v Arsenal... may have been the only decent games in nearly three decades.

It took a helicopter following the team coaches from the hotel, and a video of the players shouting the chorus in a music video to light the fuse.

I'm interested to see how Arsenal deal post legendary manager like ourselves and Man Utd had to.

They've gone German. We know that. Their business looks interesting.

    Lichsteiner

    on the horizon

    Leno
    Sokratis
    Torreira

Looks bloody brilliant business so far.

Have actually heard from a reliable sauce that Karanka is still looking to bring in his own matchday commentator, Colin Fray-Bentos.

No, Fray-Bentos will only commentate on the Pies.

That is actually the town the pie company is named after.

There was mate, but it changed its name in shame when Jamie Oliver became famous and ruined it.

Some of their lyrics make me absolutely piss myself. Opening words to Charlotte are classic.
