Hmmm...time to sell a couple and get a new one? I just love this, JHS Vintage V100PBB, double bound, mahog with maple cap, no pickguard, P90s! The Wilkinson gold hardware looks stunning with the black.

Love the sound of P90’s/Soapbars and don’t currently own a guitar with them.
Some years ago I had a JHS Vintage 335 copy and it was quite a nice guitar. It’s a brand that gets overlooked for some reason.

P90s are my favourites, nice mixture of clarity and growl and very responsive to the guitar's controls. I've got two electrics with them that I really like so I'll probably just dream of the Vintage. And all the rest of them...

This is fun guitar to play. P90 goodness in the neck a snarly humbucker with the best coil tap I've ever heard.

I like that the Fallout has a kind of Japanese/'60s budget guitar look, but is a quality guitar.

I'm in the process of having a cheap custom / hand-built guitar made by a guy up in the Lakes

It's based on my old Futurama ish using a Toaster style pickups and a mustang style bridge ... think ill call it a "Futurebacker" lol

Bought a guitar 10 years ago and barely played it, but my OH has bought me an initial run of 9 lessons for Christmas. Had my first one last Wednesday.
Re-strung my old guitar over the weekend on my tutor's recommendation and I can actually get it in tune now. If I realised how cheap strings were and how easy they were to change I'd have done it when I was struggling with it before.

Now for practice, practice, practice. The cats are pretty unimpressed with the noise I'm making so far!

Clearly then, you’re doing it right.

Found this little beasty a couple of weeks ago. I wasn't really familiar with this model but just liked the look of it.
It's a Squier Pro Tone from about 1997 got to tell you this thing is freakin awesome. On quite a few levels it is a match for my US Strats maybe the only difference is that the pickups aren't quite up there with the US models but they aren't far off.
Never realised that Squier made a guitar of this quality!

Is it one of the Japanese Squier models? They were awesome.

It's the worst day of the year for me so I'm seriously considering buying a guitar.

No it's actually Korean having read up a little on them they were only produced for a couple of years and were discontinued becuase they were hitting the sales of Mexican and to some extent US made guitars. According to Tony Bacon in his definitive book on Squiers they were a victim of their own success.
And I can see why; a pickup upgrade and it will battle with the best.
