Seriously though we do, don't we?

On the plus side, good to see and hear much more vocal support for the lads today, kept the Burnley 'support' quiet all game. COYR!

Apart from the one against Leicester the other week. But the last few have made some baffling decisions, yeah.

That booking for Sharp today was ridiculous, especially when you consider Doyle didn't even get booked for doing it to waste time the other week at wolves!

And they wonder why fans get annoyed!

The Linesmen seem slow these days, anyone else notice that? When they decide to flag its usually delayed well after the incident.
I agree the Sharp booking was a bit harsh, it was seen as dissent but anyone could clearly see it was just frustration with himself and nothing more.

Woeful Ref, but the linesman on the Main Stand side was possibly worse.

He flagged for some truly baffling decisions, seemingly ignoring any foul made by a Burnley player and flagging against any Forest player who had the temerity to venture beyond the half way line.

Was just daft, if he had lobbed it over the barrier then fair enough but he was just annoyed at himself.

Halford was booking for booting the ball out even though it was clearly still in play, he just helped it on (and up in to the corner of the BC stand) as that was the safest thing to do in the situation. Also I thought the ref had a shocker when it came to the double fouls on Reid and Gillet. The first was a yellow whilst the second looked like a straight red.

As for the lino's being slow, I've heard that's because some referees like to run the show and instruct his assistants to only flag when he gives them the nod (unless it's for something really serious)

No consistency with time-wasting is what really pisses me off. Last week the ref let Hull take five minutes to do anything until the last ten minutes, when he went mental and booked half of their team. Now this week they allow Grant to take a million years to take goal kicks without doing anything. I wish they stamped down on it more harshly.

It was right to book Sharp today, even if we don't like it.

The ref's biggest mistake was probably allowing our first goal, Dexter was climbing all over his man from what I could see from the Trent End.

Other than that he did ok for me.

To be fair, the other team also get the same shit ref.

Linesmen tend to make the worst decisions, they shouldn't be allowed to call anything but offside and throw ins/corners/goal kicks. There's a reason they're running the line rather than being in the middle.

Thought he wasn't a bad ref. Tried to keep his cards in his pockets until they really had to come out.

When that happened I turned to the person next to me and said if that had been a Burnley player we would have been screaming for him to be booked. No one seriously disagreed...

Quite agree. Linos are my pet hate, usually don't make decisions then make one which is wrong.
Remember one at Norwich. Lurch had to come right over in front of the away fans to collect a bad back pass, lino called it out from the other side of the pitch, through two goal posts, defender on the line and Beasant's body. We could see it was quite clearly in play.

Sometimes I wonder if we should even bother having Linos and just have two of them camera on runners, a guy sitting in a room that just calls the offsides to the ref through a headset or the fourth official does it with a camera in the dugout....though he would be the second official if there were no linos!

I think the thing you find is some refs are happy to run the game using their own common sense take on the rules whereas others just stick to a 'dems the rules' in black and white and dont apply common sense approach IE the Sharp booking. I'm a firm believer that a human being should make the common sense decision there, realise he was a little annoyed with his decision, have a word and carry on whereas Doyle went out of his way to smash the ball as hard as he cold against the boards whilst effing and waving his arms angrily which is for me a booking as he is being a twat.

I agree, and we have had a lot worse this season. The main stand side lino was a bit crap though.

The ref wasn't too bad for the Burnley game but the linesmen just got too busy and yet when there was an obvious decision either way the flag stays down.....truly baffling. To be honest I was amazed they didn't rule out Dexter's goal.

The Derby and Hull refs have been quite easily the worst though......if I was that bad at my job i'd have been sacked long ago!!

I know it isn't forest related but it is shit ref related and it didn't seem worth starting a new thread in football banter. Anyone see the sending off at millwall? Just bizarre. Basically a sliding tackle where the man won the ball and a straight red. Trevor kettle the ref. his name rings a bell. This kind of bullshit is ruining fotball for me. You never know what some refs will do next to turn the game. Some f the tackles that bring about reds now are beyond belief and totally inconsistent.
