Thread: End of the road for Jewell at Ipswich?

Default End of the road for Jewell at Ipswich?

Another defeat for them tonight and the locals seem to have lost patience with the Scous pornstar.

Paul Jewell seems to be hanging on to his job by a thread and is surely only a couple of defeats away max from finding himself jobless.

Could this be a way back in for Billy Davies? I hope not as I think he could do a good job there. A Cotterill/Ipswich combo is one I would like to see though!

Pretty depressing club. Went there for the away game last year and the atmosphere was utterly dire. As if turning up was a chore for them

The only good thing about the place is that the stadium is quite close to the train station. Making it an easy getaway

A friend of mine is an Ipswich fan and he absolutely detests Jewell. He wanted him gone in close season and has vowed not to go to a home game until Jewell is gone.

When do we play them? He needs to keep his job until then.

27th November, I'm in the directors box on a corporate day out with a few businesses.

One of our lads came in for a bit of stick on one of their forums for warning them about Chamber's wankness......

    http://www.twtd.co.uk/forum/227228/luke-chambers/#18

.......wonder if now that they're 2nd bottom in the table, and joint top in terms of goals conceded in the league, they might realize we had a point?

One things for sure - Chambers will be bigging up Cotterill! He's never had relegation on his CV you know?

Between that, our 2 wins over them last year, and 7-3 and 3-0 wins at Leeds and Brum I'd actually expect Cotterill to be strongly considered for the role if Jewell does go.

They've just signed Danny Higginbotham on a 1 month loan

At the Leicester pub, one of the guys is a massive Ipswich fan and wasn't sure what to make of Chambo after having heard me mooan about him last season. Was willing to give him a chance but it didn't last long! I pointed out when he signed that if he had a decent partner, he'd do ok, and the agreement was he needed one but wouldn't immediately have one.

I do think Higginbotham is a good signing for them, can't help wonder why only a month though, why not til Jan?

I've already posted twice on here in the last couple of hours about One month loans. Just how desperate are things becoming ?

I'm not certain - I'm sure someone will correct me if I am wrong - but an emergency loan (which is all that can be done in this 'window') can be for a maximum 3 months only.

    Hence no loan until January.

A manager can apply for an emergency loan if he can prove he's been stupid enough to pay £16k a week for a shit centre half.

Apologies, please enlighten me, I am trying to serve on the bar, keep track on here, assemble furniture and plan a menu. No, I am not being sarcastic, that is my Friday night, and I am having to selectively dip in and out of threads, so apologies if I missed something.

Oct Nov Dec = 3 months? just odd it's for 1 not 3, unless I missed something ( quite likely tonight tbh, I am as likely to give someone an actual screwdriver (tool not drink) than to serve em a pint!!!!!!!)
