    Default NFL and CFB Thread

The season kicks off proper today, ESPN is pretty back to back with college games, as it was yesterday, and there's a plethora of NFL games on the tellybox.

New deals from Sky, C4 and BBC mean there's to be an amazing amount of NFL on our tellybox over the next few months.

Add in that NFL Official have added a European Shop, and the Wembley game isn't too far off, and it's looking like a good season for us UK fans.

Who's your money on to go all the way this season? For me, it's Brady's year to shine - Pats to have a perfect season, starting with a 25 point win over the Titans today.

    Talk to me, Goose.

I've got a sneaky little feeling that it'll be either the Packers or Giants, but it'll be interesting to see how a Peyton influenced Broncos do..

I shall be cheering on the Patriots, and Boston College!

Agreed; but I was won-over by a Doug Flute inspired Eagles many years ago and it's been downhill ever since!

This years my year to properly follow a team.. I just don't know who yet, I love the west coast though so I'm thinking a team that side & if I get into it I'd rather visit San Diego/San Fran thanthe middle or East Coast.

You do realise Notre Dame aren't good enough to make into any Conference don't you?

They in effect only play friendlies; they are sort of pub team level!

Weren't you into one of the Ivy league colleges last year?

Just heard about the BBC's coverage for this year, will make it a hell of a lot easier to get to see some games without shelling out for sky.

All I can say is that if Rich thinks he can watch that shite whenever he wants then he has mistaken his flatmate for a curly puppy.

Ps This comment relates to F1 as well.

I think Chris means NFL and stuff isn't his cup of tea.
( I suspect he is getting into F1 though)

Wasn't too far off my prediction.

Unfortunately my watching of the San Fran game was somewhat disrupted.

Will be following Detroit Lions as always. Started off with a win over St Louis yesterday but I won't be holding out too much hope for the season.

After last season's playoff appearance I am actually very hopeful for the Lions this year.

Will need to see how our defence, particularly the corners have improved and what our running game is like before getting too excited though!

Have you seen the highlights of yesterday's game? Matt Stafford was terrible. Think it was three interceptions he went for.
