Surprised that he'd sign for Stoke? Or surprised that Stoke would take a risk on Owen?

Del Piero is interesting Sydney FC is Australia isn't he?

I'd be frankly astonished if he went anywhere near Liverpool.

Can't see Owen doing much at stoke, might get the odd goal but he's had his best days I think.

Since he left Liverpool he's made 138 club appearances and scored 44 goals in EIGHT seasons.

Owen is only there for Crouch to stand on during a new corner routine.

Must have been the nearest club to his stables to offer him a contract.

I wish him all the best. If it's true that he said he wants to play Premiership football or no football at all, then he's a bit of a tit.

But the lardy-dar prawn sandwich Premier league fans all seem to hate Stoke. So if Michael Owen can score a few goals to help keep them buoyant then I'd enjoy that.

Used to have a lot of time for Owen but his twitter shit over the summer really put me off him. He not only said he would only play in prem or europe but when one fan asked him about rumours of joining his club (cant remember which club might of been us) his reposnse was simply a list of his previous clubs accompanied with 'why would i lower these standards' Arrogant little shit I hope he fails badly, but Stoke still do well.

I think his stables are between Cheshire (where he lives) and Stoke.

Newcastle were on his list of course which made me laugh as though they may have a large fan base theyve won f**k all just about, and were in same league as us not so long ago to boot.

He looks like a snotty rich kid, so the horses certainly fit.

Anyway, overbloated hangnail, always way overrated, hasn't been relevant in about 7 years.

It should really be noted here that Mr Owen played a considerable part in putting us into the Championship. As for the quip about what we have/haven't won, don't be naive.
