    Default Mr Chairman

Omar's account on twitter has been confirmed as genuine by NFFC official, he is following amongst others LTLF, man of the people!

Have a quick gander at the goal music thread please Mr Al Hasawi!

    Omar Al Hasawi ‏@Chairman_NFFC
Nottingham Forest will continue to financially support @ForestLadies this season. An Al Hasawi firm will sponsor their shirts. #NFFC

Ken Bates arrived at leeds and pulled the tampon on the woman's team. Well done to the these guys for keeping them.

This to me is one of the best pieces of news to come out of the club since they arrived. Not for how much it is financially, rather they didn't have to do it, but they did. A very good sign, well pleased with that.

Someone set up a poll on the goal music (with an option for "no goal music") and tweet Omar with a link to it.

Great news about the Ladies team. I saw on Facebook that they needed to raise 10k to keep going this year. As someone said there, football teams in Kuwait, as in many countries, are part of much larger sports clubs, including basketball, handball, hockey, womens teams etc so it makes sense I suppose

A nice touch for them to do this.

I am now convinced that someone is either actively monitoring fans websites for them, or people are emailing them and they are taking notice. Either way, its great news and long may it continue.

@nottmfails Al-Hasawi's promise to support #nffc ladies by sponsoring shirts. Rumours this will be new company invisible-shirts.com are unfounded #ITK

Love it, I'd have tried to find 10k for that.

It is a really decent gesture from the new owners; the cost of keeping the ladies team going is about one weeks' salary for one of our supposed "big star" players.

It won't make them any money, but what it will do is generate a fantastic amount of goodwill and exceptionally good public relations.

Well done to Omar and his colleagues.

„I believe in socialism because it seems more humanitarian, rather than every man for himself and 'I'm alright jack' and all those arsehole businessmen with all the loot. I made up my mind from viewing society from that angle. That's where I'm from and there's where I've made my decisions from. That's why I believe in socialism“

It's also a good sign for those that are worried about their intentions. I don't think there are many that are still concerned but it shows a good level of caring for the club and its associates.

One thing that I've noticed from what I've seen from them is there is no arrogance about them whatsoever

Just a thought on the fact ok it's cost them 10k but if a al hasawi firm sponsors them surely they can sponser NFFC ladies what ever they like?
Is this to swerve the ffp in the future?

I don't think ffp is an issue in the womens game...

Not saying that if it's them paying the 10k then it's all part of one big NFFC pot I don't no just asking?
They could sponser them 1 mill then that goes on forest incomes taking it from 15mill to 16mill?!?.

Forest ladies arent part of NFFC anymore I dont think, so it would have no bearing on FFP. Its just the Al-hasawi family sponsoring the ladies team

Yup, nothing to do with with the Forest as such. Women's teams entail pretty low funding. Even of the Al-Hasawi's injected what would be considered serious money into the women's team it wouldn't really register on the budget for the men's team. The goodwill it buys will be worth more certainly.
