    Default Two to bring in?

What two players do you think we should be looking at?

I think we need a central defensive leader and a lightning quick, preferably right sided midfielder.

Danny Higginbotham looked like a natural fit at the back last season imo. Solid in the challenge and vocal when something went wrong but not in the Chambers "random shouting" way, we stopped letting opposing players step behind us from crosses as soon as he arrived and he can play his way out from the back.
I know his age doesn't go in his favour but it means he will be cheap and he still seemed to have some legs last season!
Inigo Calderon at Brighton is another one I would consider but I think he could be expensive and my mate who is a brighton fan says he is a bit of a fair weather hero.

On the right I would love to see us go for Andros Townsend at spurs, really quick and a real battler and if we offered the right terms I'm sure we could at least get him on loan. Think he can use both feet and is young and hungry
Ryan Hall is one I would def take a look at, we seemed to be linked with him for a while and I think it could be a good move, I hear he has some discipline problems but SoD strikes me as a man that can deal with people like that. Again quick, young and maybe with a point to prove!

Danny Collins is our new captain now. As regards to his leadership abilities , nobody knows until people have seen the games he played so Higginbotham is not needed.

Definitely need a right midfielder and a centre back, although I'd prefer it if our entire defence wasn't based on 'good lads' - we need someone who can read the game from centre back rather than just someone who will get stuck in, for sure.

Think SOD is looking at the foreign trialist defenders to recruit as backup if they are good enough. Just need one.

Is Collins definetley captain then? I hadn't heard. If so then yeah maybe go for a younger player, but still needs to be a strong defensive head with some "ball playing" ability. I loved Big Wes but watching him trying to pass to the midfield used to make me ill.

2? 10 would be a decent size squad before the season's out.We could do with another 4 defenders, A gritty cm, 2 rw, 3 decent strikers. Plus additional trialists.Ship out the dross as and when we can.

This, Wilson type centre back and a winger who has the ability to beat a man, we do not want every team we play to have no fear of anything in behind and be pushing right up on us, suffocating our play.

I think we have our gritty CM in Cohen, really missed him last season. I'd give moussa a chance as cover for a better player who we pay for on the RW, Strikers I think we have enough of, just need to get Dex, Miller and Findley plying how they can and we won't need more, plus if Darth Bader comes in he's another "freebie" and apparently can bang em in. I think with the addition of another CB and maybe a cover left back the defence looks reasonably solid for a full season

I would like to see a regular goal scoring striker come in (easier said than done), another CB and a right winger.
I just don't think there is enough goals in the current squad.

If I were to pick two I'd go with Liam Lawrence and Ryan Hall. We are crying out for some wingers

Miller is on trial for impersonating a centre-forward.

I could see the logic in LL, but I really hope that we set our sights higher than that.

I wouldn't imagine he'd ever be found guilty, he's never even looked like he was trying to be one.

Only Forest would give a trial to a player already on the books.

Can we just change the title of the thread to 'four to bring in'?
