ames Henry Cross?@SportsAgentJHC
Not sure what to expect next from #nffc on the transfer front, if anything. Hoping for some exciting wide players though, clock is ticking.

I'm starting to get the impression that the 'flurry' has stopped.
come on forest its been at least 3 days now since the last signing lol

Wouldn't mind either of the wingers that he mentioned. Also mentions Simon Gillet and John Oster, on trial, both played under SOD and both fit into the style that SOD tends to play, and hopefully the style he will play with Forest.
Stephanie Houghton.
Goalscoring left back.
Wilson and Hammill, tomorrow.
Im guessing nothing more will happen until S'OD has made his mind up on the trialists. I would imagine he'll look at the squad once he's made his decision and start looking to fill in the rest of the gaps.
The only people we will sign now are trialists.
Moussa will be our right wing signing
Bouzid will be our centre back cover
Maybe a Kuwaiti/Syrian or two
The money spending is done, unless we sell someone IMO.

The way I see things, the plan for this season is -
1) Fill the blindingly obvious gaps in the squad with competent players, but not one's which will break the bank.
2) See what SOD can do with the current squad and these cheapish additions, and also give him access to several trail-ists and see if anything can be mustered from them.
3) Give it till Jan, see where we are, how SOD and his players have done and judge what we need from there - Invest relatively heavily if we're in with a good chance of going up but due to injuries/suspensions/loss of form etc. gaps have appeared, if we're mid-lower table sit down with SOD and ask him if there's anything in particular missing from the squad which could turn things round, then provide him with that if obtainable.
Even though I'd love to see a 20 goal a season Earnie type here, I can totally understand the owners instructing SOD to try and get something from the current plethora of forwards we have available first before investing in another forward. Ryan Hall would be someone I'd expect us to sign however as we do need to sort those wings out and get some pace back in the side.
This is what happens when we don't sign anyone after a few days. Banners at the ready!
I expect the next few signings to be decent. For example if we're in for Ryan Hall negotiating with Sarfend for possibly their best player would take considerably longer than Halford from a Pompey team who need to sell to survive or Collins as a fringe player at Stoke.
Anyone want to buy a green scarf? I bulk ordered and have been waiting for this moment.Originally Posted by TheDude
The signings made so far were all easy transactions - players that were available for transfer. We are now going to be going after players that aren't available for transfer, which is a much more lengthly process. Fees will be bounced around for days/weeks until the club that is selling get the inflated price that they desire. Have a little patience. If you believe that the budget for this transfer window is the money made from the sale of Chris Gunter then I suggest you go to the shops and purchase some tropical juice immediately.
Don't get me wrong, I am not pissed off or panicking or negative. I just don't think we are trying for many more players.
Is there even anything to say we are after Ryan Hall or are people just going off the old Sky Sports story that he is interesting a few Championship clubs?
O'Driscoll said in the BBC interview that he was going after an 'awful lot' of players, and that '2 or 3' were quite a long way down the line (Harding, Halford). Sounds alright to me.
