Absolutely impossible to tell whether he is any good until you have seen how he commands his 6-yard box in the air and on the ground when under pressure in a real game.
Reactions look good, but great keeping is not about reactions, it is about anticipation and authority.
Grummitt was a good reaction keeper, and quietly assertive.
Shilton was a great keeper because he was always several steps ahead in his anticipation and in terms of authority, he was the boss.
(Oh, and his reactions were pretty good as well, and you wouldn't have seen Shilts kicking the ball away in mid air like the chappie does in the vid.

True. We must remember that Shilton was one of the best in the world though. If we can get even halfway to replicating the Lloyd/Burns/Shilton trio we'll do very well indeed!

Pretty sure he was meant to parry the ball back to the guy 3 yards out, training him to get up faster and save the 2nd / 3rd shots.

you could say the same about any keeper though m8. All i've seen him do is go from the premier league to league 2 to the championship and not get any better whatsoever.
