Contribute LTLF sponsored Henri Lansbury during the 2012/13 season, and we would like to sponsor a player again next season. To do this we would like your help.

IF LTLF members can raise enough money required to secure the sponsorship of a players shirt for the 2013/14 season we will give away everything to do with the sponsorship as prizes to those that have contributed (prize draw to decide which members win the prizes)

I was honestly preparing to have to drag my self down to the shop to renew and then having to stomach a 'big name' manager and then a whole procession of overpaid signings - just like last year. I'm really pleased and I echo exactly what the previous posters and more importantly the players have said. A seemingly decent guy who plays decent football.

The last thing we want is to turn into a Leicester. I'm not saying spend nothing, I'm saying try to spend on people who want to play for the club who are not demanding 15 grand a week (Miller Derbyshire Greening). And for gods sake give the youngsters a chance.

One of the few highlights last year was towards the end of the season when the centre backs were noticably splitting to receive the ball again from goal kicks. It was a really small step but significant step in the right direction.

I'm pretty confident that three or four signings and we'll be fine.

Oh yeah, and to the regular contributors to this forum? Tremendous, always really fun to read your posts!
This is it. People are worried SOD is gonna spend money on useless players (Greening, Derbyshire, Miller etc.) But it was a big name (McClaren) that did that in the first place. He's a great appointment with full respect from our current squad- who aren't all shite- even though some might think so.

Yes we need new players and I'm confident SOD will bring in the right ones.

O'Driscoll will get the best out of Greening. You heard it here first - he'll be big for us next season, him and Majewski both.

Very happy with SOD, good manager and I'm actually happy again thanks to his appointment.

I'm sure we will bring in some real gems who won't cost the world. Bring on Bristol City!

I think O'Drisscol will get the best out of all of our players, because they will want to play for him and he won't ask them o do things that they aren't capable of or comfortable doing.

Greening is a decent passer of the football.

    O'Driscoll preaches passing football.

Greening last season often looked lost when the ball was being punted over his head.

O'Driscoll just needs to tell Greening where to pass the ball.

    Sorted.

I'm glad we have not appointed an "iconic" manager. Look what happened the last time we tried that (McClown).

He is, in my eyes the perfect fit to reproduce the Cloughie philosophy (as has been touched on in this thread). Gets his teams to play on the floor, keep possession, work hard.

Give him a season to bed his ideas and bring in the players he wants to, then we can push on for potential promotion next season. We will win games, we will also lose a few, but we will preform well under SoD.

As long as he starts putting a shift in when we haven't got the ball. Last season he often stood still and let players run straight past him, not what a central midfielder should be doing. Have to say when he made the odd sub appearance at the end of the season he was getting stuck in, much more like it.

    Really happy with this appointment.

Raddy & (hopefully) Guedioura will be the players the team gets built around, and I for one, cannot wait!

Greening was used for back up most games.

    ---------Moloney---Lascelles---New Cb----New Lb----
    ----------------Greening---Cohen--------------------
    -----------New Winger-----------Reid----------------
    ---------------------Majewski-----------------------

    Camp
    Freeman <Higginbotham> Lascelles <Elokobi>
    <Knightly> Cohen <Guedioura> Reid
    Majieski
    Blackstock

    Sub; <new keeper>, Maloney, <Al Mutawa>, Greening, Miller, Moussi, <new central def>
That'd be one hell of a Championship team.

Anyone listen to Reids interview about O Driscoll? Says he was the reason we played good football towards the end of last season and why we kept the ball on the floor, also said 'even campy was happy, and he wouldn't of been impressed unless it was pep guardiolla'. All sounds promising and that we'll get our happy dressing room again.

Well, O'Driscoll's appointment has eased whatever concerns I had about the new owners' ability to gauge the climate surrounding the club and their sense of realism. For Forest, O'Driscoll is a good appointment because he knows the players that are left here and because as has been stated so repeatedly I am feeling a bit silly for stating it again, his football philosophy. If he also gets a DoF and some funds for decent transfers, I feel that I can look forward and not back for once and this bit of good news makes it slightly easier to face the anniversary of the Oslo and Utøya terrorist attacks come Sunday.

Greening's finished. Bit part player for the rest of his Forest career. O'Driscoll will have his own targets in midfield.
