I wish that were true but we don't, we really don't.
In markets like this we just slash the odds at the first sign of smart money and try not to get stung too badly.
Its purely a PR exercise - journalists are lazy sods and are happy to quote odds rather than do any real work themselves.

Really hope he hasn't turned us down, mainly for the fact that Taylor will have been completely wrong again. But I'm starting to fear the worst. Not necessarily because I think that MM is an amazing manager more through the lack of quality of all the others that are in the running.
daily Fail reporting it too
In markets like this you have to assume there is someone out there who knows the winner before you do.
As such you try not the lay anything for large stakes, which means prices get chopped for very little money.
You often see selections moving in very quickly and I wouldn't assume that its because of heavy support, just that us bookies don't want to get fleeced.
Of course the eventual winner will move in sharply as well but so far we've had Fergin-mini and MM trading at odds on then drift like a barge so the price cut in itself is interesting, but I wouldn't read too much into it.
If we are to give credibility to stories based on internet betting sites we are all doomed.
Internet betting is probably the most corrupt market sector after UK main stream banking...
So Mick has said himself now or just papers copying off sky sports?
The fact is it's all guessing games. None of us really know, the journalists do not really know but rumours sell much more than unanswered questions! As has been said the bookies odds chop and change on the basis of where the moneys put. Probably why Hoddle was all of a sudden a favourite because there was nothing to suggest he was in the running and the chairman said they had not spoken to him.
I still think Warnock. Although there is nothing to suggest it's him the media all told us the Al-Hasawis were likely to take over Leeds and that Steve Cotterill was going to keep his job. Twitter has been a more reliable source for a forest fan this summer so far!
All the speculation of a new manager coming .....Pmsl .....Nothing new really..... The hasawis said there would be a suprise well the suprise will be mr william mcintosh davies coming back....Watch this space.....They have studied nottingham forest for years...They know that if the mcintosh had the money he would have got nottingham forest up so now is the time....
McCarthy out
Hoddle out now too according to talksport
Talksport are saying Mick didn't want to work with a DoF and that's what Forest were talking about. Well I'm confused.
I must admit this one (of many) things that is confusing me. I am sure on Saturday it was clearly stated that there would be no DOF and the manager would have full control. I suppose we will know if this was true very soon after today's/tomorrow's announcements
is there meant to be announcements today bro? too many conflicting reports on twitter
Still no quotes, or mention of where they have got their information from
I always thought that if it's on BBC, it's definitely true? Surely BBC don't make articles on speculation do they?
I'm a bit worried tbh. It doesn't look very good that MM has turned us down.
BBC now says MM out of the running...
thanks bro...that was written yesterday i presume hence "today" means "today"?
