Good shout. He would be a quality captain.. only problem being his slight problem with injuries making him perhaps not ever present in the squad. Kelvin doesn't seem to enjoy being captain too much and doesn't seem to wear the armband with much pride, his form hasn't been as good as it initially was prior to him being made vice-captain either.

He is certainly a strong candidate, don't think Wilson should be certainly.

I think we should do all we can to not put too much pressure on JB after the season he has just had. Whatever he is doing right now is working fine and I wouldn't want the captaincy to disrupt that.

For captaincy I would probably choose either Clingan or Morgan although I am sure CC will stay with Brecks because he won't want to kick up much of a fuss even if he won't be an automatic pick in the starting XI.

The captain needs more than pride and enthusiasm he also needs a good footballing brain. Now JB is a nice honest lad but from the times I have seen him I am not sure that he will make the regular starting line up in the championship and I think CC is of the same opinion.

Pride and enthusiasm ?? Show me one footballer who showed more passion in League 1 last season !

I don't disagree but that does not make him a good captain candidate.

Yeah he can't read a game but why not.

It's nearly as daft as the requesting a scoreboard thread.

Noooo!! Wes shouldn't be let anywhere near the armband!

We need a player other people have faith and confidence in! I can't believe for one minutes any of those players have full faith and confidence in Wes 'parody of himself' Morgan.

Even Wes Morgan doesn't seem to have that much faith in Wes Morgan!

That is harsh considering he has been Mr Consistant at the back this season.

I've never seen him look confident! He scares the shit out of me, and judging by the way his teamamtes all start backing towards their goal when he picks it up, you can only assume they are expecting the worst.

How often has the worst happened this season?

Just because you think he doesn't look confident doesn't mean he isn't.

I just happen to believe we can find a better centre back than Wes.

I know he is a bit of a cult favourite, but I think we can do better.

Maybe give Cohen the Armband . He seems the most passionate when he runs out on the pitch and always cheers off the supporters even if it's a crap performance. Bournemouth most memorable for that.

Just see what people have to say about that suggestion?

A good idea, but I can't help but think that he's a bit young.

I also forgot, He's not a Nottingham lad, so that would put him out of the running straight away lol

For me it's a no. He doesn't really motivate much although he is so commited to the team.

as daft as people may think it is I think we should try giving Smith the armband for pre season at least. He really does need to start commanding a bit more and I think there will be a bit more of a need if he is captain aswell. I think if we try it in pre season and if there is a positive effect then we can see from there.

How about his awesome lob over the goalkeeper against Huddersfield at home. I swear he meant to kick the ball in to the ground and lob the keeper. lol

Of what we've got I'd say either Clingan or Wilson.

I have a feeling we'll sign someone with a caotain pedigree.

    Scimeca anyone?
