Contribute LTLF sponsored Henri Lansbury during the 2012/13 season, and we would like to sponsor a player again next season. To do this we would like your help.

IF LTLF members can raise enough money required to secure the sponsorship of a players shirt for the 2013/14 season we will give away everything to do with the sponsorship as prizes to those that have contributed (prize draw to decide which members win the prizes)

"You used to be British/Welsh" chants next season? Or would that be racist?

Ugly scenes at a "Keep Cardiff Blue" protest meeting tonight. Threats of violence against the pro-blue fans, believe it or not!

    Tweets from a WalesOnline journalist:

I have just been to the Keep Cardiff Blue meeting. Fans turning on each other and some very angry exchanges. Very sad.

They've got a big, big problem on their hands. I have never seen anything quite like it.

What a mess. Not how you want to start the season.

You'd have thought it was only Forest who had crazy owners according to some journalists anyway

I still dont get why the owners could only invest if the club changed its colours and badge.

Theyve sort of held the fans to ransom there, by implying the club could face financial difficulties if the fans go against changing colour.

    Its awful.

I'm quite ambivalent about this - on the one hand I'm horrified that an owner would come in and fuck about with the crest and team colours as a condition of his investment.

However, it's not like clubs haven't changed crests and colours before, probably like this to flatter the ego of an owner or chairman, but without the funding - over time the shockwaves dissipate and people support the new colour/crest just as they did before.

We've always had the red shirt, but we've changed crest numerous times (admittedly we had to move away from the City crest due to copyright - but look what a happy tribulation that was, because it gave us our current AWESOME badge )

Its not the change thats the problem imo, its the way the owner then played the "we wont invest anything, and the club may struggle financially" card to force the fans hand.

Rather than engaging in constructive discussions, it jumped to a thinly veiled threat.

    Poor show

When was the last time a Football League club changed its colours? In the last century?

Crest, fine, but the colours are the club. Can you imagine Newcastle playing in anything other than black and white stripes? Or Man United in a blue home kit? Norwich in white?

Every town has its ups and down
    Sometime ups outnumber the downs
    But not in Nottingham

I saw something on twitter a couple of days ago of an interveiw with Robbie Earnshew.
It showed a photo of him from said interveiw and I think it was in the Cardiff City Stadium.Funny thing was and is that even though the shirt colour might have changed from blue to red the colour of the seating(in the photo) was still blue.Do they have plans to change the seating colour??,if not this will look rather odd if they dont get a full house and there are empty blue seats everywhere,

Leeds all white kit was introduced by Don Revie in 1961 - previously yellow and blue halfed shirts. It's not unknown for clubs to change, but changing the badge as well it quite a shift given that the club nickname was 'the Bluebirds' cos of the shirt and badge.

Arsenal did change their shirts to 'redcurrant', albeit temporarily for their final season at Highbury ('05-'06)

The last one i know of was Torquay United in 1984. Former Chelsea player Dave Webb was appointed manager and demanded on the kit being changed from yellow to an all blue one. Once he went in 1986 so did the Chelsea clone kit.

As much as i dislike Cardiff all the fans have got to do is buy the away shirt (blue) and boycott the red one.

Fawaz has more style than that.
