Gone to lesta
Would fit in with our strikers that's for sure.
He could genuinely do a job in the championship. Steward.
Obviously Leicester will look at the incredible return Marlon Harewood has had at the CG and be inspired to re-sign one of their old boys too
He'll go to Leicester, and he'll do a job too.
No he won't do a job. Just like he didn't for you boys in the World cup.
Despite his age, Heskey insists he still has more miles on the clock, and that he is determined to add to his career tally of 153 goals from 712 matches racked up for Leicester, Liverpool, Birmingham City, Wigan and latterly Villa.
Holy shite! 153 goals from 712 matches? I bet some defenders have scored more than that!
Whether or not he has got much left to give who knows, but he played to a somewhat higher level than Marlon, so I'm not sure the comparison is a good match.

McClaren would love this guy. Glad he didn't become available while Schteve was here. He was trying to turn us into Overpaidhasbeen FC.
Great signing, we just need Michael Owen
We could play 4-4-2 if we put Heskey alongside Harewood up top... loads of experience, not much in the way of goal scoring.
Midfield of Greening, Reid, bring back Paul mcKennafrom Hull, and Moussi - nothing to fast so as not to blow away our strikers...
Nurse, where are my pills, I'm getting those feelings again!
Can we delete this thread please? It sends shivers down my spine every time I see the title.
The most underrated, overhated player of his generation. Shot it now, but in his prime he was cracking.
I think it was Georgie Bingham who tweeted this week that Messi has scored 72 goals this season, Heskey has scored a total of 72 goals in the past ten seasons.
I wouldn't play him in our shithouse.
Obviously we arent going to sign him and I wouldnt particularly want us to, but I remember watchin him play centre-half for Wigan for the last 20 minutes or so on TV (think it was last day of the season when they stayed up at Sheff Utd's expense) and he was immense.
I thought then that he had probably been playing in the wrong position all his career...
Sooner have Bamberdele Adebola back
This, for me, would be an excellent signing. The guy has it all, pace, power, and exceptional finishing ability. He's not known as the powerhouse for nothing!
In the right team, with the right players supporting him would definately do a good job in the Championship. I don't think we are that team however and this isn't the sort of player we need right now.
