I had a dream dogtitts stepped down. Maybe he will.
Kerr Ching, the sound of the Champions league money drifting further away again !
any ideas about the finances on this one sedge? how long until they are fucked?
At the moment no great crisis, as the former American owners took such a large hit when the club was sold. But how long are they going to hang around for, with the level of backing so far squandered by Dalgliesh and the failure to get amongst the Euro League milllions.
Leave Kenny alone; he's doing a grand job.
You-know-who got booked for cheating again. Superb refereeing.
Should have booked him for the handball, then for time wasting, then kicked him in the bollocks for being a rat-faced cheating racist bastard.Originally Posted by Barbus

5 home wins in 15. Apparently that's the worst since the 50's.

No doubt King Kenny will walk away a saint and as per usual the murdering scousers will level the blame elsewhere..Cue "Yanks out" chants
Lol @ Lebron James for investing in Liverpool
It is I feel a nice downward spiral the club are on. Unable to use European Champions League football to attract new signings, they must either find and reley on some one with the skills of Wenger ( Of course those with the skill and talent to spot emerging young players and develop their talent are growing on trees ), or continue to pay top whack wages.
Meanwhile the top clubs will continue to strengthen and leave Liverpool in their wake, they are now reduced to the ranks of the also rans, trying to join again the big party, without the know how and finances, whilst trying to please fans who expect a champagne diet.
If you were the owner and old laughing boy Dalgliesh wants you to open your cheque book for another large multi-million pound signing, would you say yes Kennie you are wonderful, the fans love you and I think allowing you to blow my money is the most wonderful thing to do..........Or do you take a good long hard look at the squad and new signings in particular and wonder about the Emporers new clothes ?
Last season reaching the league stage of the Champions League netted each club an approx £30 Million, rising to approx £50 Million dependant on successful campaign......the winners obviously higher.
A decent Europa League run nets around £6 million for reaching the later stages.

We can only hope. Even thinking of them getting relegated makes me feel all warm inside!Originally Posted by sedgred

Wigan.
I could've sworn I saw them win the league cup a few weeks ago, having done rather better than all the teams above and below them. Maybe not a full return on the investment but it's a wonderful thing to win. Dalglish just seems to be as tactically confused as his predecessors... Kuyt always looks like an astonishingly good player when I see him, and he always plays that horse bloke from Newcastle instead.
So they won the competition they christened 'The Mickey Mouse cup' thirty odd years ago, but now it's a massive achievement, and makes up for them being nowhere near Champions league qualification for the second year running.
Would Arsenal fans swap a top four finish for a piece of silverware?
I'm not sure, but the owners sure as hell wouldn't!
Top 4 and to finish above Utd was their goal. Given the outlay, anything else is a complete disaster for fans and owner.
