Another Life is one of my recent favourites. Hope it gets renewed for a second series.

Sounds like a novelty item you might buy in the Club Shop?

I made up my mind from viewing society from that angle. That's where I'm from and there's where I've made my decisions from. That's why I believe in socialism“

You only had 2 more episodes to watch then. I agree season 2 isn't as good but I still enjoyed it. The Ed Kemper dialoge is great. The problem with recreating real life crimes is that they don't end with the explosive 15 minute car chase we are used to in ficional dramas nowadays. The conclusions usually leave you unsatified but that's how it happened.

I hear they plan on making 5 seasons though so will be dragging it out even more. I look forward to the overseas Harold Shipman special!

As a social sciences fiend (studied it, taught it, etc.) I really enjoyed the dramatisation of the early profiling of these criminals. I think it's been dumbed down a bit this season but I will finish it at some point. I'll rewatch the whole series because I really don't want to dislike it.

Was he the one who 'did things' with that student from Doncaster?

    Watched all of Marianne.

Don't get through many tv series. Always seems like too much of a commitment. So proud of myself.

I recommend it. French horror writer has made it big writing about the malevolent spirit she dreamt about. Old friend from the coastal town she left 15 years before comes to see her at a book signing in the big city to tell her to go back. She does and stuff goes down.

There's a brilliant creepy old woman in this.

I often get bored too but I flew through The Boys. Great series, brutal humour at times.

    It’s Prime not Amazon though

    Oh FFS.

Just watched The Stranger with Thorin Oakshield, Fergus from the Crying Game, Jennifer Saunders, Rita from Rita, Bob and Sue and Dennis Pennis. Enjoyed that.

Dennis Pennis, aka Paul Kaye. When he was in that series years ago "1000 miles of Skye" with Michelle Collins ( that was good too), he wore a 'Suicide' t-shirt much to my surprise and delight.
That's a US band and not some precursor to a suicide vest for those not old enough to know!

    Always liked him since then.

Continued my Ricky Gervais theme with the Invention of Lying. A classic piss take of religion.

DARK, on Netflix - the two series‘ are well worth a watch if you like cerebral science fiction with a twist. There’s a third series on the way, and they’ve now released a version dubbed into English.

It’s the best thing to come out of German television since Das Boot.

I gave up after one episode of the Stranger.

I was only watching it because I used to live next door to the main character’s house.

Watching Oasis thing whilst setting up my home office for the next couple of months.

Between us we should be able to review everything on Netflix.
