That's a shame, although he was overhyped.

I think that is very harsh,Watford are in crisis financially and can't see anyone improving on Boothroyd.

    They'll appoint Dowie now.

If that is the case our chances of survival have increased dramatically

That to me is a strange move by the club, unless there is severe unrest behind the scenes. He always seemed liable to be able to dig Watford out and motivate them.......................

Maybe defeat on Saturday will see his name touted on here

Saturday? I give it until Wednesday before people forget and start moaning again...

Only those who will risk going too far can possibly find out how far one can go.

I always thought Boothroyd was an Okay manager. But I would like to thank him for our home win this season.

Boothroyd looked like a bright and talented young manager, he's had the heart of his team sold out from under him and hideous injury problems. I'd say Watford lose more by getting rid of him than he does by leaving Watford. His reputation ensures he'll get another Championship job without much effort, not sure if he fancies a crack at the QPR poisoned chalice, but wouldn't be suprised to see him end up there.

He left them where he found them, fourth from bottom.

He's about to take the Huddersfield job - Ternant has just walked out.

I always thought Boothroyd was never that good. He got the club to the premiership, They didn't do too much, and came back down.

Huddersfield, just an average side at the moment. I don't see what Boothroyd is going to do there.

    Probably get paid.

When you haven't got a job, you kind of need to take whatever you can.

    Talk to me, Goose.

Boothroyd could probably do better though.

It's a very good source from within the club. Apparently he will be in charge in time for the Leeds game.

You can get 1/2 on Sky Bet if you trust your source absolutely.

I'd say you're right though. Ternent walked today after a win at the weekend, just after Boothroyd went last night. Makes me think the board might have suggested to Ternent they had a replacement lined up and would pay him well should he decide to go with dignity.

Boothroyd's odds have come in from about 16/1 this morning. It's going to happen. Great appointment, too.
