    Default Players wages...who's on what?

Big discussion at work today about what these guys are raking in...regardless of value for money issues

    Anyone got any realistic figures?

Andy Reid has a substantial figure.

„I believe in socialism because it seems more humanitarian, rather than every man for himself and 'I'm alright jack' and all those arsehole businessmen with all the loot. I made up my mind from viewing society from that angle. That's where I'm from and there's where I've made my decisions from. That's why I believe in socialism“

I'm led to believe they're all on less than 10k pw.

Mind you, I got this off here, so......

By "relegation battle", do you mean 7th, 12th or 14th?

Bobag gets a bus pass and a heating allowance

Greening gets free water which he turns into wine and sells at a profit

The accounts show a total figure for playing staff, and a total number of laying staff, but I guess any averages don't take into account the disparity between what Reid is earning and what Darlow is earning.

I guess you could produce some form of rational curve to better guestimate.

    Talk to me, Goose.

Hope you're not including 3D films in that statement

I've heard Reid, greening and miller are on over 20k per week. Could be wrong though.

according to football manager they're on around 5k a week, that is probably more accurate than any rumour. The same game that gives forest fans a 4 out of 20 for passion and 17 out of 20 for loyalty. A bit twisted?

Wasn't aware you made the films.

Actors get paid a lot more than footballers.

From someone I know who does know (he works with figures and things and sees the associated figures and things), last season we had two top earners, who were on £15K a week, although this was made up of bonuses etc. However, one of them is no longer with us, and the other probably hasn't been earning any bonuses for a while. I don't want to be specific and get him into trouble but you can work it out.

My 'source' has been shipped abroad for a couple of years, so I don't know about the new signings.

Me too, and I can't believe that it was 1h50m of nothing. nothing happened. There was no reason other than money to split that film into two.

The opening 45 mins could have been done in 10-15 and the rest of the film into 15-20 and they could have made one very good (maybe just good) movie.

I sat there absolutely stunned at the lack of anything.

I don't mind twilight, but this could genuinely be one of the worst films I've seen. Maybe it would be a decent watch if you had parts 1 and 2 to watch at the same time, but this film on it's own merits was terrible.

I've watched down and as a stand alone film it's less enjoyable than it.

My wife watched the new Twilight film yesterday (she loves the first three) and said it was absolute rubbish, and an utter disappointment.

Aye, it was f**kin terrible. I've not seen any of the others, and I'm not in any rush to either. I turned around to the missus 10 minutes in when they were getting married, expecting to catch her crying and then terrorise her. She was gonking. To be fair, we had been for a few drinks beforehand, but I can't say I was impressed, especially after she'd been bugging me to take her every time the advert came on the telly

I still can't understand how Mark Kermode failed to cane it last Friday and Cosmo Landesman somehow saw fit to give it 4/5 in The Sunday Times.

Money makes the world go round! Few back handers and every media outlet is waxing lyrical about it. (edit they don't even need backhanders as they own the media!)

Big business rules now and they have every aspect of the media in their pocket, if they want a film/actor/artist to succeed they will by simply using their clout with the media to make it happen.

Imagine if a cinema refused a WB movie, or BBC radio refused a Sony artists song - too much trouble for them.

Good shout mate. Would have liked to think that Kermode would be above all that though... anything but a Starfucker, that lad. In fairness, there's been a fair bit of vitriol directed at that particular steaming pile of cunnilingual menstruation in some other publications, so knowing the Good Doctor, he's probably sticking up for it just to be a contrary c**t

Blackstock and Earnshaw then.....neither are worth £15k per week!! Probably half that...

Miller is the top earner at the club and supposed to be on about £15k a week.
