    Default Mcgoaldrought

David McGoldrick has joined Sheffield Wednesday on an emergency loan. The 23 year old will spend a month with the League One side.

Should be good for him. See him making a decent impact in league one.

    Maybe expecting a player in?

Another one of ND's Nottingham born ideas that hasn't paid off.

Can't imagine it means we're getting anyone - he's only off for a month but hope it sharpens him up.

On another note, I'm glad we didn't get the Twente LB Tiendelli (?sp) - did you see that howler he made to set up a goal for Fulham in the Europa league?

Good luck to him - I think McGoldrick needs to get a lot more first team starts - if anything it'll boost the price we can sell him for cause at the moment he's pretty much worth f*ck all!!!! Tell him to say hi to Prutton!

I'm pretty sure he left them in Southampton...

By "relegation battle", do you mean 7th, 12th or 14th?

    Default McClaren at Fulham-Twente

I see Steve is at the twente fulham game, im assuming just watching his old team more than a scouting meeting

He's going to plenty of games, putting the hours in. Can't fault him for that. Not ponceing about in scotland.

    Absolutely.
I think many of us could see qualities in McGoldrick. I don't really think he had long enough runs in the team to find any real form. With Miller, Derbyshire and Findley ahead of him in the pecking order now, I can't imagine him featuring for us much in the future. He could make someone a good striker (if they persist and keep him in one position - like goal-hanger Holt). Good luck to him.

knew McClaren would be there - pretty sure just to see his old team, see how they like playing in a stadium with 4 stands!!

I just looked on a Wednesday forum and they're convinced they are getting someone who's 'rapid'...

Although, in a Megson team full of plodders, he might look semi-quick.
