Default nottingham forest 1980 champions cup final silver plate

my name is Marin Buric and i'm a secretary of a Hajduk Split football club museum and founder and member of "Bili tici", a foundation that gathers all the people that collect memorabilia associated with Hajduk Split football club.
I was in Nottingham 10 days ago as a part of Hajduk Split delegation on a away match against Stoke City FC, a first leg of third preliminary round of Europa league, and I visited Nottingham Forest stadium and museum.
The reason I write to you is that we, as a foundation, have a certain item associated with your team.
It is a plate made for 1980 Champions cup final when Forest played against HSV in Madrid.

It belonged to Branko Zebec, a Croat that was manager of HSV of that time, and it was a gift of Brian Clough before the match.
Can you tell me more of this plate?
Is it silver or silver plated, how many of it was made and who were they gifted?
    thank you

If it was made in 1980 I strongly doubt it is silver, much more likely to be silver plated. There should be hallmarks on the bottom that will tell you though.

Other than that I know nothing I'm afraid. Apparently a tankard that matches this plate was sold to fund the brian clough statue and I'm sure many people on here were involved in that, someone may know where it came from and where it went.

I have nothing to add other than that this is a fabulous looking artifact. It's really interesting. The managers of that generation were a classy bunch.

Is there any way this post could be forwarded to say the NEP, Hands across the continent football fans type of thing, maybe they could help to find someone who could shed a bit more light on this matter.

You have to love our Eastern European brothers, if they're not looking for information to bump up the price of their ebay sales then they're sizing up your sister to get her on the game.

I love the bit where he said 'I visited your museum' too.
