Anyone planning a jar or two before the first match of the season?
New season ticket in hand, reckon I'll wander to The Bell for opening time then wander aimlessly towards the ground as 3pm approaches...

Well it's my Birthday weekend so i doubt I'll even remember I've been to a game by Monday morning.
I would do, but beer just isn't the same as it used to be. The brewing industry is now dominated by money, with large corporations mass producing the beverage using the cheapest possible chemicals which they know we'll buy anyway because of the drinking culture in the UK - we drink to get pissed, not because it tastes nice, whilst everything turns to shit around us, we just drink more whilst the corporate fat cats rake in the profits.
FFS, negativity is even affecting my pre-match pint
I drink bitter because I like the taste. I don't drink it on a night out. Don't like to be too pissed at football.
But what you said sounds beleivble about what we sup
Well, the best humour is always based on reality.
Will be supping a nice few bottles of budwiser on the train down to Nottingham, and then will be making my way round the regulars and to The City Ground...Oh how I've missed this! Could a man wish for anything more?
The king of beers
I like that new stella cider
I'm having a beer before the first game of the new season. Of course it'll be by myself at home in London, but still.
Which reminds me, I need to know where the London-based reds all congregate for the big televised matches (Derby etc.)...
Oppsy
The new Stella Artois Cidre is *much* more sophisticated than their lager though; indeed, when I got home from the pub the other night after downing a few bottles of Cidre, I beat my wife with a billiard ball wrapped in a Cravat!Originally Posted by congo_red

I'll sample a pre-match gallon somewhere ! lol
Not been to Nottm since end of last season. I take it the TBI is now reopened as a Wetherspoons? May pop in there for a bottle or two of Tyskie or Zywiec.
