    What a shambles.

Ah well, his capable Assistant should be able to oversee the important work going on in Portugal...

We're obviously the only people worried.
Skybet have us down for 3rd favourites to go up and 3rd favourites to win the league, we are worrying too much.
    Steve will deliver

I'm not normally a negative Nelly, but this worries me profusely. I mean, how do you expect to have a successful pre-season when your new manager isn't even in the same country?? Not to mention the fact that we don't even have an assistant manager fill in?

What is going on? Myself and a few hundred thousand others demand answers.

Anyone who has ever thought this club is well run, must surely start to question things now.

It's beyond a joke, if this was happening at Derby we would be pissing ourselves.

Yeah this is becoming an absolute farce now. At least Steve is appearing to be proactive about the situation, but fucking hell Forest. I really try hard not to jump on the anti Doughty bandwagon, but this is a joke.

I put a positive spin on things when we got rid of Billy, telling myself that the board know they have to deliver to justify Billy's sacking, after all two play-off finishes isn't that bad when you consider we nearly got relegated in 08/09.

But the fact that this story is now in the press absolutely smacks of incompetence. If it's true, then how on earth has this ever been allowed to see the light of day? SM may have said these things, of course, but it really shouldn't have got to this point so quickly in his tenure.

If Steve is worried he might not be able to go to Portugal, then they might as well cancel the bloody trip. At least he can then continue working with the players in the morning and spend the rest of the day helping with getting signings through the door, not just in the fucking rumour pages of the press.

    F-ing joke.

I told you lot it would end in tears, and now it's becoming true. If Steve has to hold Nigel and MArks hands while they try and sign someone well we may as well throw in the towel now, disgusting.

    Embarrassing in fact - humiliating!!

    Cringeworthy

    Arggghh god!

I'll be honest, I'm starting to get a little concerned, and you know my thoughts on the the good work done behind the scenes here.

Letting some players go before getting the replacements in is a big concern. Have we put all of our eggs in the wrong basket and counted them?

Its a sad day when Steve McLaren has more respect than the owner of our football club

The scary point that is now emerging is who is actually in charge here? Who can sort this mess out (if this story is to be believed)?

On paper it's Doughty, but it's becoming increasingly clear that this isn't just his doing.

Do we have an assistant? I know it's a silly question but this has gone very quiet... Are we getting one? Or is our first team coach stepping up? I know we haven't got one, but are we going to have one?

This is embarrassing, the club is just a complete farce.

Its hard to have faith that the club knows what its doing when your manager whos only been there 3 weeks is starting to crack up.

He must be wondering what hes taken over.

Wheres jerellis to put a positive spin on this and tell us its all part of the clubs plan and some kind of asta dish?

With you being one of the "hardcore" Doughty defenders ;-) I am now more worried.

It now seems really clear how little say in the actual attempted acquisition of players the managers at this club have. If McClaren already doesn't trust things to get done while he's away this could be an embarrassment.

Pleeeeease don't let us down Forest. All we want, as fans, is a bit of clarity. That's all I'm asking for, so don't bother with the lofty statements if we are genuinely unable to fulfill these. I'm not saying to put a cap on ambition, but set more realistic targets.

I'm not at all worried. Glad that he's stopping to get it hopefully sorted.
