    Default Andy Cole

Sorry if this has been mentioned before but on the coach on saturday, on the way back from QPR i was informed that Andy Cole doesnt train with Forest during the week.

It turns out he trains with Stockport County in the week and just turns up at The City Ground on a saturday for the match.

I thought this was quite odd, how does he expect to gel with his team mates if he doesnt even train with them?

    Has anyone else heard this?

A good friend of mine knows the sports Psychiatrist at Manchester City, which is the club Cole's young son plays for, it was meet the parents evening and they got chatting about Forest and thats what Andy Cole told him.

I have no reason not to believe this chap, he's a good lad.

(Also Andy Cole still lives in Manchester aswell)

    Really?

    Offical Photo's like?

Maybe Forest want the fans to think he trains with the club.

But like i said, its just what i have been told, wondered if anyone had heard the same.

Apparently not...however in the two games where I've seen him play a considerable part (Wednesday and Palace) I was very impressed with his link up play. Sadly people aren't always on the same wavelength as him a fair amount of the time though.

Completely agree with you and QPR reinforced this for me.

Cole would come deep collect the ball hold it up and release it. A lot of the balls to his other foward (Tyson were easily collected by defenders)

Although the majority of fans were moaning at Cole saying he was poor and that Tyson was not making any intelligent runs. If you have someone like Earnshaw upfront with Cole you're gonna get goals out of him. Earnshaw will make the intelligent runs Cole will know where he is running and them 2 will have combined and most times score a goal at the end.

As I said before the start of the season we really should have got rid of Tyson when we could. He is quick and he is pacey however, his touch is awful his finishing is the worst I have seen in a while and he simply does not have a footballing brain.

I am not saying he is the only one. I think Barnes is another as are many players. However, the reason Cole's passing seems poor at the moment is because the runs Tyson should be making he isn't making and he just runs round like a headless chicken wasting energy pointlessly. I mean why close down the keeper everytime when you'll get the ball 1 time out of 100? Tyson is a super sub at best.
