I don't know why we don't have a minute silence before every EMD game. This guy is & forever will be a Legend round these areas

That's a given, so why do we need the silence?

Meh, we already compete for the BC trophy. I agree we should always remember, but not go all scouse and over-the-top about it.

Good film. Just a shame that once a story is made into a film many people believe the film version as fact.

That's the problem with many films that are based on true events. A lot of people think that they're completely factual accounts.

There are large sections of the American Mid West who still believe that Cecil B DeMille's "Ten Commandments" is an accurate portrayal.

BTW they are actually called "The Ten Sayings" NOT "Commandments" and are possibly based on the Babylonian Hammurabi Code.

There are large sections of people all over the world who still believe that's at least loosely based on a true story.

...which was based on a book by Dan Brown, & a film starring Tom Hanks, wasn't it?!

By "relegation battle", do you mean 7th, 12th or 14th?

I tend to subscribe to the theory that Moses was actually a Akenhaten Priest (of probably Hebrew origin) who fled with a small group of followers after the downfall of Akenhaten's Monotheistic religion. The legend got embellished over the years and other tales woven into it. Many academics & scholars believe the Plagues actually happened but in two separate events and over a longer period, and also were natural phenomena.
There are also two separate Mount Sinai accounts that have been amalgamated.

Moses probably looked more like Sid James (a Joburg Jew) than Charlton Heston though. Hahahahaha

Yes and it's all in the correct language. If English was good enough for the Bible, it's good enough for me. lol

The book was excellent but not sure how they could have done it justice as a film. Anyway, the gullible would have believed that the dark Clough character in the book was true to life.

I think the film is okay... it could have been alot better though!

The part that made me laugh the most was when Brian, and the Leeds players were standing in the Tunnel at Elland Road.... and all you saw in the background was the new Elland Road... it just didnt look right for the film! haha!
