    Default Supporters Branch Chair

Anyone got any idea exactly what this involves?

I've got an opportunity to be the Chairlady (don't like the word chairperson so I've made up a new name for myself!) for the new London supporters branch but not sure how much work it involves and don't want to commit if it's going to take up a load of time that I don't really have!

Have been told that there's never been a female chair of a supporters club before (correct me if I've been wrongly informed) and quite like the idea of being the first but that's probably not the right reason to do agree to it!

Any insights would be greatly appreciated.

Very little for you to do.
Most of the work is done by the Secretary ,Treasurer and whoever looks after membership.

    Sounds good to me!

Silly question though - why's the point in having a chairperson if the secretary does all the work?!

Apparently it's a new branch in London but not sure what it's called.

The first I heard about it was when my friend txt me earlier saying that he'd got agreement from the Supporters Club after a meeting yesterday.

Not sure why we can't just join the existing London supporters group.

Do you just organise nights in the pub talking about Forest?

    Sounds fun!

Liz, there is already a chairlady (W Y Branch) sorry.

Apparently it involves very little work anyway, the people at the top of the tree have to sort out the tickets and getting money off of people and the like.

Go for it you would be a good ambassadore as you get to nearly every game.

    SYOM!

Burst my bubble why don't you! Nah had started to get the feeling that Darin was just saying that to get me to say yes.

Anyway have agreed to do it - it'll be a good way to meet fellow Reds in London. Ali is going to be my branch secretary (aka my bitch) so will just get him to do all the work!

The only problem is that we can't mention London in our name so we've no idea what we're going to call ourselves. Any bright ideas?

I was just about to say the same thing, although once the current sponsors leave it may have bad memories.

Only those who will risk going too far can possibly find out how far one can go.

Yeah we've thought about something like that or Capital Reds but we're concerned it sounds abit too much like Capital One.

I thought about LDN Branch but that's probably too much like London

I'm thinking that anything anywhere near London will be rejected. The chairman for the existing London branch has only agreed we can set up a new one on the condition that we don't mention London in our name.
