Default Go Craig Fallon - get that medal

As a former judo player of a decent level I have been up since 5am watching Craig Fallon, having been robbed by a dodgy refs call, fight his way into a bronze medal repercharge (due in next 10 mins or so) against a very decent Israeli.

Press your red buttons and support team GB in its quest for its first medal of the games.

If you don't unnderstand Judo, expect a cagey fight with lots of "grip fighting" as the Israeli is very defensive. It probably wont be the most exciting fight but then many of us sat up and watched the curling a few years ago.

b*****dS: BBC have just switched to Womens football on the red button. One can only hope they are going to show it on a main channel.

edit: Seems that the bronze medal fights will be at same time as semi-finals at 11am my apologies beeb! If Fallon wins, he will face a losing semi-finalist for the bronze.

I too used to practice Judo; never to anything approaching Olympic standard, though.

Ah the famous Pinewood club eh? My old coach came from there originally. He once lost to Neil Adams by a Yuko in the British Open Semi-final.

Felt for Fallon, lost (contraversially) to The Austrian who has subsequently made it to the final easily. He was well up on the Israeli, then seemed to lose concentration! Definately should have got at least the bronze. He should be there or there abouts in 2012 though.

I got to blue belt but was only graded within my club, I never did regional gradings.

Odd really, it must've been a 'growing up' and losing interest thing, because I was quite good and had already got my brown belt ready for the next grading... before just stopping.

    Shame really!
