    Default The big betting thread

Another £5 going on Tuesday nights games.
    Heres what I've got:

Bristol City to beat Charlton at 11/10
Bournemouth to lose to Leeds at 4/6
Preston to draw with Leicester at 11/5
Gillingham to lose to Doncaster at 7/5
Shaktar to lose to Milan at 6/5
Porto to beat Marseille at 8/11
Valencia to beat Rosenborg at 1/4

    £5 stake - £638 return

Feel free to add on another one or two games to break the £1000 return barrier.

    Opinions?

Seems pretty nailed on to me!

Although I'd probably go for Leicester losing.

    Talk to me, Goose.

    If you add
Burnley to beat Hull at 10/11
Millwall to lose to Swansea at 11/8

to the above the returns become £2980

    Aye, you're right.

BBC article earlier just said that they hoped to get a new manager before the Preston game at the weekend.

You're right though, it is tomorrow.

    Charlton-BristolC
    Rosenborg-Valencia
    Porto-Marseille

Those are more likely to be draws I think. Possibly the Leicester-Preston one too. I can see Marseille and Valencia winning away as well.

I just did a few small bets for the week on Paddy Power:

    Liverpool win v Besiktas - 2/9
    Sheffield Utd win v Ipswich - 6/5
West Brom win v Sheffield Wed - 8/15
    Brighton win v Walsall - 5/6
    Chesterfield win v Lincoln - 13/10

    £2 bet returns £34.77

Then I have a single on us to win 2-1 tonight at 7/1

and finally, a single on Bayern Munich to beat Bolton 4-1 on Thursday at 16/1

I'm bloody useless at football betting. I've tripled what I've put on in each of the last 3 rounds of NFL though!

    For Saturday

    West Ham to beat Derby
    Plymouth to beat Norwich
    Wolves to beat Barnsley
    Swansea to beat Billaricay
    Liverpool to beat Fulham
    Millwall to beat Altrincham
    Bury to beat Workington
    Oxford to beat Northwich
    Stockport to beat Staines

    £1 returns £44.26

Add a risky Bristol Rovers to beat Leyton Orient to take the total to £191.66 and then add another risk, Sheffield United to beat Stoke to bring in £613.31

    Im tempted

Mark, add Eastbourne Borough to beat Weymouth at home. That should bring it up a bit and if they don't win, I'll send you the money you bet by post!

    Or for the riskier punter

Wins for Sheffield United (V Stoke), Bristol Rovers (v Leyton Orient) and Birmingham (v Villa) and Draws for Man United (v Blackburn) and Spurs (V Wigan) brings in almost £470 for a £1 stake.

Add a Forest win to this for a £737 return... but I personally wouldn't fancy this as at least one is bound to let us down.
