Friendly stories started with the possible Greece visit to play Atromitos (13 July proposed) and Olympiakos (mid-July).
Seems like we will start in La Manga where we play Peterborough on 6 July : https://www.peterboroughtoday.co.uk/...road-1-8923328
I am probably going to make the trip to Greece in July to watch a couple of the games!
Hmmmm. It’s doable for me...
„I believe in socialism because it seems more humanitarian, rather than every man for himself and 'I'm alright jack' and all those arsehole businessmen with all the loot. I made up my mind from viewing society from that angle. That's where I'm from and there's where I've made my decisions from. That's why I believe in socialism“

The friendly with us (all reports take it for granted that it's on July 16, but nothing official yet) is our last friendly before the Champions League qualifiers on July 23.
So O'Neill better tell his players to go soft on us and not injure anyone, or someone may be not very generous with the transfer money.
African Cup of Nations runs from 21 June to 19 July so 1 or 2 players may miss a part of pre-season.
Definitely
Zimbabwe : Darikwa
Unlikely
Tunisia : Benalouane
Algeria : Guedioura & Soudani
Hope we line up some stronger opposition too, or we could be off the pace in August.
Looks like we’re off to Greece as planned... anyone on this?
Looking into it at the moment - any advice from our friends GBG and Karteo?
Ah, I hadn't noticed the dates are now official (on your side):
The squad will fly out to Greece on Friday 12th July before returning to Nottingham on Wednesday 17th July.
Officially announced by us as well, July 16, 21:30 local time: https://www.olympiacos.org/2019/05/1...igxam-forest/#
Interesting to see how integrated the 2 clubs will become during the visit.
Assume Forest will use the Olly training facilties etc.

Flights just booked from Luton with the wife and kids... Any family friendly hotel recommendations within 45 minutes from both grounds??

Our stadium is very conveniently located next to a metro station; the one of Atromitos is about 900m from another metro station. In other words, you needn't confine yourself to a specific area, and you can choose a hotel based on your convenience for sightseeing.
Given that I live here, I'm afraid I don't really know hotels. Be advised however that, as in all major cities, some areas of the centre (especially near Omonoia Square and the train station) are, if not dangerous, then at least unpleasant.
think I might be up for the Greece trip. Can we tempt GBG and Karteo out for a couple of ouzos?
Keeping my eye on the La Manga friendly as it's an hour from the olds house

The time of the friendly with Atromitos has also been announced, by Atromitos (21:00 local time).
Incidentally, a site specializing in news on Atromitos says that your youth team (U18 rather than U23 I suppose) will also come to Greece and play a friendly with an Atromitos youth team (Atromitos traditionally has excellent youth teams).
I suppose they'll also play a match with our youth team (either U19 or U17).
There are too many hotels in Athens. Just find some alternatives within your budget, let us know and we can comment on those if you like. We haven't tried anything here but we can give you an opinion of you like.
The airbnbs are also pretty good these days since most of those are very recently renovated
