I think that probably would be corruption to be fair
I'm not sure tbh. Fulham are paying them to do exactly the same thing which is their job. To me it's just further incentivisation for the same thing. Whether or not the money coming from a different source changes it from an integrity point of view could be up for debate but I certainly wouldn't't call it corruption

So were safe then?

Thanks for clearing that up.
Umm...
My comments about Luton being awful are in response to the hysteria that they are definitely going to get 10 or 12 points from 4 games. They aren’t. They’ll get 4 or 5, 7 absolute tops if the wind blows in the right direction.

We are also awful and don’t look like winning a game of football so we’re in massive trouble and have every chance of going down, anyone who thinks otherwise is deluded. However, we ARE miles better than Luton in real terms without PSR and the PGMOL, like 13 points or more better. Sadly that matters not at this point because we are where we are. It’s on the players to show how much better they really are than Luton over the next 4 games, and it’s totally legitimate to question whether they have the courage, confidence and quality to do it. I hope they do, but I’m not convinced now.

But Luton are still awful.
That's literally not what I said Redders, I clearly explained in the next post I made on the issue. But if you just want to drop pseudo passive aggressive one liners and revel in the negativity that we're definitely going down then knock yourself out.

Us and Luton are both pants right now. We just need to be less pants than them over the next 4 games.

The bookies still have relegation as:

Luton 2/5
Forest 13/8

So we have to take some confidence out of that. Hope Wolves do us a favour at the weekend.

Relying on bookies odds or other teams to do favours is all good and well but I'd rather the team actually gave us some indication that we can survive.

If Sunday was it, then we'll be relegated.

Oh no, not the 'passive aggressive' line :ROFLMAO:

I try to worry about Forest, not constantly revelling in the fact that other teams are shit as some sort of comfort. I never said were definitely going down and am hugely offended and upset that you've said that, is the number for the police still 999? I'll guarantee you one thing, unless we improve massively then we likely will, irrespective how shit you think Luton are.

With how close it is around Fulham the last game could be worth up to £8m to them in increased position bonuses if they win and the teams around them don't. They ought to still be fighting. That would mean the points of the teams around them being similar relatively to what they are now.

I don’t really buy into this argument that we don’t look like we have a result in us. Neither did Everton after that drubbing at Chelsea. They’ve shown some bollocks and two wins later they’re on the beach.

I’m confident there are two wins in us amongst these last four games.

That being said, I also think Luton have two wins in them and could pick up another point somewhere.

As could Burnley...
Over the last 6 games, Burnley have collected 9 points.
Forest have collected 6 points over the last 6 games.
At that rate, come the end of season we could be on level points, and if Man City give a real tonking, our less-worse goal difference could be less less-worse.

How dare you suggest that would be corruption.

Resign from LTLF immediately!

I agree. Obviously the other way around is corruption but Marinakis could well be giving them further financial incentive to win.

Hopefully he's promised Silva a big contract & a bag of money to spend on transfers at Forest next season if Fulham beat Luton.

2 wins from 12 probably explains concerns, certainly mine.

Hopefully we can pull something out of the bag.

If you look at points tally this season (excluding deductions), Everton away is a far harder game than Sheff Utd or Burnley - four points from our remaining games will, I think, be enough.

Start praying for some points back on appeal, that's the most likely route to salvation.

These jobbers on the pitch fritter away points like it's confetti.

Sheff U keep threatening to win games but ultimately fall short, you can bet you house if they go in front against us, they are getting that win.

Burnley have actually turned the corner, can they get 3 more points than us in the next 3?

I think any points back is unlikely for some reason, team needs to pull its f***ing finger out.

I think that last line is something we can all agree with Redders, said the same myself. It doesn't change the fact that we're not primarily in this mess because we're as bad as the bottom 3, we aren't, we're in it because of our own stupid PSR failings and being screwed by some of the worst decision ever witnessed. We've got to massively improve from where we are at the moment to make sure we don't go down, absolutely, but looking at what we might need to do to do so in terms of expectations of a rubbish Luton is quite normal, it's not looking at them to lose all their games to keep us up on 26 points (which won't happen).

I’ve been confident for months we have enough in us to stay up but now I believe it’s going down to the last game of the season and I have zero clue if we will do it.

I still believe we’re better than Luton but we have to start proving it, Luton are shite but so is our current form.

Hopefully we don’t get smashed to bits by City to destroy whatever confidence we do have.

If anyone thinks we are going to get points re-added, at this point, I would say you are insane. It's a four horse race and I don't really like our chances. If we lose away to the Blades we are done. I full expect City will beat the snot out of us. Chelsea? Who knows. If it's between us and Burnley last day then we will have made out own bed.

I agree mate, I'm just massively disappointed with the players at the minute. Fed up with the game. Since the day we got promoted weve not made a single thing easy for ourselves, everything has to be done the hard way. Were so reactive to things, why cant we just go for teams from the off like we did v Fulham. Should be doing that every week at home.

Been an absolute dogshit season.

Watch us beat City now :ROFLMAO:

I honestly can't see us scoring enough goals to stay up. We have enough quality in the side to stay up, if we could convert the chances, but that will be our Achilles heel I fear.

I'm not exactly brimming with confidence based on our performances, but I'm trying to think of it in practical terms.

From watching Luton against Brentford I can't see how they earn another point this season. Brentford could've easily had 10. With GD we're essentially 2 points clear of them (cant see us getting any pts back) so if we can win one game you'd have to say it's difficult to see Luton winning 2 of their final 4.

Wolves were torn to bits last night against Bournemouth and somehow kept it down to 1-0, they're riddled with injuries (always seem to be actually) and are exactly the type of team that Luton can overwhelm physically.

Thats the one thing i've been saying about Luton since the opening couple of games, they know exactly what they are capable of and what they're not. They throw players forward in numbers and can catch teams like Wolves out. Funny enough it was us who were caught out when Edwards emptied the bench and gave Barkley his debut. Yes Aurier, Worrall etc but they bloody had us from the moment those subs happened.

And since then thats how they've made a game of it, Brentford are a cute unit that has the physical, tactical and technical qualities needed to deal with Lutons all action style and then smash them when they have their chances.

My worry is that Luton know what they're doing, i still couldnt't tell you exactly what we're trying to do. Last season with the box midfield counter end of season special i knew exactly what our goal was. Now its, lets play football lads yet we can't break a team down nor keep clean sheets. Thats before we even talk about set pieces. And Nuno doesn't seem to have an interest in going to a back 3, Its shite or bust.
